Went to the Carlos & Pepe's in Blainville, where they had vegan cauliflower tacos. This location doesn't have it. Wish more restaurants around West Island & Vaudreuil would have vegan options for all of the allergy & intolerances out there these days.
The decoration at Carlos y Pepe's was amazing. You can tell they really put a lot of effort into the place. Everything is very well kept & the atmosphere makes the experience even better.
For food, we tried the birria tacos & they were delicious, honestly a 10 out of 10. I also ordered the al pastor tacos, but those were not my favorite. They added a spicy mayo sauce that kind of overpowered the flavor of the ingredients. The side rice it tastes like instant rice, not good at all either 😬 It ended up tasting more like a fast-food style taco, which took away from what could have been a really good dish.
The margaritas were delicious & definitely worth ordering. For dessert, I had the fried ice cream. It was good & I'm glad I tried it, but it's probably not something I would order again.
Overall, it was a really good experience. The service was amazing & the atmosphere was great. I would definitely go back
Friendly greeting at the door with a nice smile by Emma. Served by Aaron who was kind enough to not only properly explain the menu but share her opinion on how to tweak my quesadillas with cheese curds for my next visit. My only suggestion is that they have a larger size quesadilla plate offered as a main course & not just as an entree. Despite that, the plate was still quite filling. Great atmosphere
We were extremely disappointed with our experience. Our reservation was mishandled. We waited over 15 minutes to be seated, & our table was given away because the staff didn't check the names of the party before us until they were being seated in front of us. The hostesses were swearing in front of our party, including children, who were visibly shocked.
The service was slow & inconsistent. From taking drink orders to finally receiving our food, everything took far longer than necessary, even though the restaurant was not busy. One dish was completely different from how it had been described, & when we pointed it out, the server casually said,'Oh yeah, haha, I didn't realize it,' leaving us stuck with a plate no one could eat. No apology was offered, nor was there any attempt to replace the dish. We had to share food from our plates because some items were inedible or incorrect. The only woman at our table was served last every time.
Basic necessities like plates, utensils, & napkins had to be repeatedly requested. Drinks were inconsistent, & mistakes were made when explaining dishes. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations. Every member of our party agreed this would be our last visit.
Nous avons dû réclamer notre commande à plusieurs reprises car elle avait été oubliée. Aucun suivi, aucune excuse sincère. Quand les plats sont enfin arrivés, ils ne correspondaient pas à ce que nous avions commandé. Le personnel semblait agacé plutôt que désolé. Expérience très négative.
I've been there 3 times & every time I expected them to have updated their menu. Their rice is basically just red tomato paste & the chicken don't even get me started with their meat. It was basically white chicken & they added tajin on top after it was cooked, no taste at all. I don't even consider this restaurant Latino. The only thing that was nice were the drinks & the service. But for the food, it isn't very good, very mediocre.
At here Dec 23 2025. Youngest son had the burger. Later this evening he threw up a lot
Of raw beef. Kitchen needs to learn basic cooking safety. Everyone at the table now feels ill with upset stomach.

We went on a Tuesday night & have been many times before. We always have the same thing, a chicken burrito & the con salad with grilled chicken. The food is always good & we especially like the free salsa & chips they bring to the table. The waitress we had has always been the same & she is always knowledgeable & helpful. We find the prices to be a little high for the quality of the servings but we will likely return again.
Disappointing food & service… waited approx an hour for our food & initially got the wrong order. I would have started eating if we had utensils. The 3 flags enchilada wasn't bad but the spinach one was mushy & tasteless. The burrito was large & flavourful but did not come with enough sour cream/salsa toppings. The margaritas were very tasty albeit pricey (like many places these days). We also received the wrong dessert order & had a hard time to get the waitress's attention. Needless to say we ate it but that's not what we ordered. The waitress removed it from the bill which was very much appreciated.
It is more a Tex-Mex that a real Mexican restaurant. Food is good well presented & portions are reasonable. For my taste they lack a little bit of authenticity but in general is a good place to eat. The only'local' beverage they offer is Jarritos but I missed having a good Agua de Orchata or Agua de Jamaica.
We went for lunch October 28th & when we arrived, there was only two other tables. Quickly after we arrived, the restaurant filled up! The waitress was alone! Even then, she never stop smiling & she gave us an excellent service!
