Awful! The music is too loud. We couldn't hear our dinner mates. I ordered a raspberry margarita, slushy style, I got a daiquiri. My spouse & I ordered southwest burgers : they tasted "off" like meat that you wouldn't trust at home, you'd toss to be safe. & dry. mcDonald's would have been much better, honestly. It says that it comes red cabbage salad/slaw… none . Neither one of us. We were 9. They didn't bring us water. Or chips. The salsa has a definite taste of ketchup, it's god awful, never had a worse salsa even jars are better. We were there for over 1:30 hour before getting any food. We are never super wowed by this place but this was a horrible experience. Never ever again.
Not impressed with the food. The salsa taste like bbq sauce mixed with tomatoes. The Mexican Enchilas did not have much protein & the tortilla is not right. The vegetables in the Mexican rice tastes like can. The drinks are good & the ambiance is nice. I've been there 4 times because it's convenient if you stay at the HI next door but each time I am totally disappointed with the food.

On adore allez à ce resto. C'est notre favori avec des amies, en couple ou en famille. J'adore qu'ils ont un vaste choix de boissons sans alcool. Le staff est toujours de bonne humeu

Très beau restaurant! Les employés sont gentils & très efficaces. La nourriture & les drinks sont bons! Le menu enfant est par contre un peu décevant; par exemple, l'enchiladas est simplement une tortillas avec fromage.

The food was great. We were super disappointed with a dishonest owner would refused our gift certificates even if they had no expiry date. We were unable to use the 100$ gift certificates after we drove 75 minutes each way to go use them... It is so dishonest of a company to sell gift certificates & then refuse to honour them. We paid our supper twice... The group of 9 will never return to a Carlos & Pepes...
After having just returned from Texas I have to say this is a dull comparison. The salsa was not much more than ketchup. It looks exactly the same as ketchup & tastes the same also. Maybe I haven't tried all the different kinds of salsa but I'm not a fan of ketchup based. Good looking restaurant & service was good. Just the food was lacking. Steak was tough. Lonestar in Ottawa is much better texmex.

Not sure what happened...last year I would say this is a 5/5 spot but last night was quite the mess. My reservation was somehow lost even thought we booked online, tried turning us away at the door because there was "no more room" despite half the tables being empty. Eventually we got a spot & were immediately rushed to order our drinks & food at the same time, being told that the kitchen was behind & had a minimum 45 minutes. There was no obvious manager or responsible on the floor, when I asked for someone that could help me was ignored . Topping off this awkward experience the patio doors were wide open all the way up until around 8pm (high 19 low 7) letting in a cold breeze. Even if this was just an "off" night it's obvious the lack of staff had an immense impact on the diners experience. I learned today that my friend who I told about my outing decided to order Uber eats but a dozen minutes after the order was placed; Carlos & Pepe's retroactively cancelled the order. Something isn't running smooth here & I hope this message reaches someone in charge because Saturday night at a restaurant should never look like that, embarrassing Otherwise the food was decent, margaritas are the highlight
Le repas était correct. Le service vraiment très décevant. C'est sur que de discuter avec ces amis à une table est plus important que de servir ces clients. J'attends toujours mon Perrier! Pas une attention durant tout le repas, après qu'elle met débarrassée, j'ai enfin pu demandé un verre d'eau qu'elle m'a servi après 5min parce qu'elle était encore entrain de discuté avec ces amis. J'ai même pas pris de désert alors que j'en avais envie, vu le service, j'avais qu'une envie de partir de cette place. Quand à la facture que je venais de demandé a la serveuse aux longs cheveux avec une queue de cheval a décidé d'aller cette fois s'attabler avec ces 3 amis & de boire avec eux. J'ai du demandé 10 min plus tard à une autre serveuse qui passait pas là de l'obtenir & qui a demandé à ma serveuse attablé avec ses amis de m'envoyer la facture. Le service à la clientèle doit être optionnelle dans ce restaurant. Vu le service j'ai réduit mon tip ce que je fais extrêmement rarement parce que le travail de serveur est exigeant.
I like the servic & atmosphere more than the food but it's fine. The spicy margherita is delicious!
Kalina you are the best... Friendly, Peasant, & Courteous... Food & Drinks were Delicious, & served with a Smile... We will be back.
