Am excellent discovery! Lovely atmosphere & tasty food that was beautifully presented. The scallop dish & the white chocolate dessert were exceptional. I would have appreciated a little wedge of lime to accompany the tacos. Service was a bit uneven as I waited over ten minutes for one dish while my fellow diner ate. Overall a very pleasant experience; I will return!View more

Le menu n'est pas assez varié. La Marguarita était botchée, manquait de punch, de citron & de sel. Le flanc de port était trop sec. le taco végétarien était bon. Le prix correct sans plus.View more

Enfin un endroit où le service est à mon avis plus que bon , on s'y sent chez soit , le personnel tente de connaître vos goût & de les satisfaire. Tous le monde est souriant & semble avoir du plaisir à nous service ce qui rend l'expérience incroyable 🤩. Le goût des aliments est incontournable, malgré le petit menu on ne peut être déçu , les boissons en plus d'être bonnes ont une présentation hors pair . Difficile d'y aller juste pour un verre , l'ambiance fait en sorte que vous ne voulez plus quitter cet endroit 😍.View more

Nous sommes allé hier soir pour profiter de l'événement Montréal à table & l'expérience a été vraiment agréable. La nourriture est excellente; les saveurs, la température & la variété des plats nous a ravis. Le choix des vins était très bien & le service excellent, particulièrement celui offert par Arturo. My husband & I went to Caifan for dinner on a Thursday evening just after arriving into Montreal (we drove, so we were tired of being in the car & were really hungry). The staff was friendly & welcoming when we arrived & we were quickly shown to our table (we did have a reservation). Our server came to the table shortly after we sat down & took our drink orders, I had the Cubanita & my husband had the Valdiosera, both cocktails were fantastic. For an appetizer, we had the octopus tostada which was good, the sauce overpowered the octopus a little & it was just a touch overcooked, but not horribly. We then had two types of tacos, the gobernador & arrachera, both were tasty, but we liked the arrachera just a little better. The beef was so flavorful & all the toppings on the taco complemented the meat perfectly. The gobernador tacos were good, but they were a little light on the shrimp so there were more toppings/sauces than actual shrimp. We also had the cochinita pibil wrapped in cheese with black bean puree & all sorts of toppings/sauces. It was absolutely the best thing we had all evening. The meat was tender & had so much flavor, all the sauces were wonderful & the toasty cheese around the outside of the meat was nutty & had great texture. For dessert, our server recommended the Lokito, which was white chocolate in the shape of an ear of corn filled with corn cream & it also had pumpkin ganache & tajin. At first I thought the tajin was a little strange on a dessert but by after a few bites I really appreciated the tanginess & spice it brought to the dish. Our server was very patient with us not speaking French & did the best she could to communicate with us (we did a lot of pointing at the menu to order, which worked just fine). She kept our water glasses full & we never had to wait very long for anything. Overall, we would be happy to return & enjoyed our experience!View more

If it was not for the extremely slow & inattentive service, I would have given it a four. Food was decent with the empanada, beef & al astor taco. Only didn't like skimp tacos. But was hard to fully enjoy at the slow pace of each item arriving. There was one staff, gentleman with tattoos & an apron, that seemed like the only one that cared about his service.View more

C'est la troisième fois que nous venons au Caifan & ce soir le service a prit plus de temps qu'à l'habitude à cause du grand nombre de clients mais le restaurant nous a offert des margarita pour chacun d'entre nous en dédommagement. Délicieux comme d'habitude ! Petit conseil, les quessdillas gringas sont vraiment à tester !View more

Anoche visitamos este establecimiento por primera ocasión, y quedamos muy satisfechas, la estrella de la noche fue la costilla! Una delicia, vale la pena la espera, también pedí unos tacos gobernador, y aunque la salsa de champinón es rica, anadiría más confimento al camarón, para más sabor, las bebidas muy deliciosas, y lindas presentaciones, la mesera que nos atendió anoche, muy amable y servicial, se aseguró de que pasáramos una linda noche, como único contra, es el volumen alto de la música, ya que es difícil platicar con mucho ruido, pero todo excelente, volveremos pronto para el brunch gracias Caifan MTLView more
