We enjoyed the Portuguese atmosphere & the lovely interior. The food was good as you can see in the image. We often buy different things & swap halfway to enjoy different foods. We paid 48 dollars, taxes included for two lunch dishes & one drink, which is normal I guess, pricing we still have to get used to. But you pay for the location & the ambiance too here. Which is fine.
What a hidden gem in downtown! It's a great place to eat or drink something, at whatever time of the day. The restaurant indeed has a portuguese / european vibe, & the variety of dishes is great.
The food was tasty & fresh. The drinks were ok. Also the service was kind & super quick.
Don't miss the opportunity to try this restaurant!
This is by far my favorite spot in Montreal for coffee or lunch!
The food is amazing & super fresh. My favorite is their canard figue sandwich with the beet salad - I rarely order anything else it's that good! The Portuguese sandwich is super yummy too. Their desserts are insane as well - especially the chocolate chip cookie & the pastel de Nata of course!
The drinks are always perfect - I always get a tea because they serve it in a beautiful pot, or a Chai latte.
The staff is also incredibly attentive & kind, & the ambiance is very warm & fun. Also a great study spot with free wifi.
I could not recommend this place more!
Great Portuguese spot for an espresso. Close to the hotel we were staying. I was happy to see the pastel the nata, it's ok not authentic as it would in Portugal. If you are going to serve something, I feel you need to out in the effort to make it authentic, serve it warm w powdered sugar. It was soggy, not good. N like $4! You order at the register n they'll bring you thd good.
Charming little place to get a snack & a glass of delicious Portuguese wine ... or maybe a coffee & dessert ... or both!
Authentic Portuguese Euro-feeling bistro-cafe. Great for a business lunch. Small-ish & often bustling. The decor can't be beat: nice tiling, archways, marble counter, mediterranean frescos. Food is quality. The fresh grilled tuna burger is to die for, & the dessert parties are scrumptious.
One of my favorite cafés in MTL, Vasco da Gama is a fancier place to grab a ILLY Espresso & a wide variety of sandwiches & other things.
It's yellow walls & blue sea tiles invite your eyes to feast on it's beautiful decor as it's a great place I'd recommend for a fancier coffee date. Being a Portugese style café, they also have the world famous Portuguese egg tarts called "Natas" & a few portugese imports such as Piri-Piri hot sauce, fancy-schwancy sardines tin cans & a few other interesting finds. Also one can buy a whole can of that high-end renown ILLY coffee in the tin cans so you can enjoy it at home.
A classic on Peel street when you need a break from shopping!!
