Café Vasco da Gama is a gem in the heart of Montreal.
Walking in feels like slipping away to Portugal for a moment, warm, inviting, & full of charm. It's the perfect place to unwind from the city's chaos, take a breath, & just enjoy yourself.
The food is outstanding, full of flavour & comfort, & surprisingly affordable for the quality. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, & every visit feels like a little escape.
If you need good food & a moment of peace, this is the spot.
Quel surprise!
Good music & ambiance ! Felt like I stepped in a cafe in Europe, with strong Portuguese roots.
Nice place for a cappuccino & croissant. Very European feel with sidewalk seating. The food is standard, but everything you would expect for a sidewalk cafe.
Very lovely little café, the decor is impeccable! The menu is only in French but they have wonderful bilingual service. We got sandwiches, the Greek salad, a cookie, & some iced drinks - the only complaint I can think of is that the drinks are quite watery, but the food was very good & more than made up for it. Overall a good café choice if you are looking for one.
Excellent cafe, great menu of options. They have really good coffee ☕️.
Cafe that serves lunch sandwiches, omelettes & wine! Great location close to Peel Metro station. I didn't like their seating though, the high tables that are towards the back are really small & unstable. In fact a customer next table accidentally dropped & broke a coffee cup too. The food was okay & the coffee was good. Good variety & options to choose from but place is bit on the pricier side.
Rico y contundente.
I had an amazing time at Cafe Vasco, The coffee was superb! Highly recommend!
Without a doubt, the best café in town! The staff is exceptionally friendly, & I've been a loyal customer for years. A must-visit café for anyone in the area. Keep up the fantastic work-I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
Every time I'm in Montreal I have to stop at Cafe Vasco. Everything is perfect here, the coffee, the pasteis, breakfast, lunch, all of it. I love this place so much .
One of the oldest coffeeshops of Montreal. Same decor & same menu. Same average service by the employees. I don't know, if it's hard for the employees to be little warm towards their guests. Otherwise, their coffees are first class. Over the time, the prices have risen. I have been coming here for the last 15 years , so the only evolution I saw is in the prices. I recommend the cafe au lait or cappuccino. The texture is smooth & the taste is super delicious. Beside the service, I enjoy the rest of the experience.
