We had the avocado toast, salmon, halloumi toast, chicken salad, & pancakes: it was all delicious.
Definitely a must-visit spot!
Good food (I had the matcha latte & the avocado toast), friendly service & cozy place. It was a tad bit expensive but I expect that from cute cafes. I will say most seating is stools, which may not be a problem for most people but I have back issues so it was uncomfortable for me.

Délicieux ! C'est le maître mot pour décrire les pancakes offerts par Café September. Sûrement les meilleurs que j'ai eu l'occasion de manger à Montréal.
Mais surtout, surtout, le cadre & l'ambiance donnent envie d'y revenir. Ce style convivial & jovial est parfait pour un vrai boost d'énergie.
I have heard nothing but wonderful things about September cafe. We got there early so we didn't have to wait in the long line. I got the breakfast sandwich & it just did not live up to the hype. It was good but nothing amazing & outstanding like I had heard. It was pretty cheap for the sandwich so that's a plus. Sitting outside in the back patio was okay, happy to have been able to sit outside at least. Not somewhere I would be dying to go back to.
September Cafe delivered on quality & pricing, making my visit enjoyable. I'd seen long lines before & wondered if it was overhyped, but the experience justified its popularity-though the wait might not be essential.
The banana bread was outstanding, & the latte, chocolate cookie, & sandwich déjeuner were all well-made. Seating was tight due to constant crowds, but the space was thoughtfully decorated & efficient.
No regrets-good food, fair prices, & a nice vibe. I'll be back to try more from the menu, confident it'll be just as good.
Café September is a must try, & for good reason! This cozy spot serves up some truly outstanding brunch fare. The avocado toast is a revelation, & the pancakes are simply divine. Don't forget to grab a cup of their excellent coffee, it's the perfect pairing. this café is small & incredibly popular though, so the service can be slow & arriving early is highly recommended. The lively atmosphere is part of its charm, & the friendly staff make the experience even better. Despite the crowds, the quality of the food & the overall vibe make Café September a must-visit for any brunch enthusiast!
Beaucoup trop de monde, complètement le bazard entre les gens qui font la file & ceux qui veulent s'asseoir, personne ne vous place , & tous les serveurs parlent anglais meme si vous leur parlez français. Hyper bruyant, vraiment pas une expérience relaxante si vous cherchez un lieu chill.
La nourriture & les cafés sont quand même excellent, heureusement !
Found this place via Montreal Tiktok so we decided to try it out & it didn't disappoint us! There was limited seat & the cafe was super busy!! Luckily, we got seat & ordered brunch I ordered americano & grilled cheese with soup - amazing! The soup was super tasty & it went very well with the grilled cheese My friend got herself the sandwich deluxe & capuchino. She wasn't a fan of the cafe but she enjoyed the sandwich Highly recommend!!
Lovely cafe, but very busy. We arrived around 9am on a Sunday thinking it'd be fairly quiet but had to queue for 15-20 mins to order. Other than that, it was all very tasty. Delicious coffee & matcha, & amazing pancakes. The atmosphere was really nice too, & staff were very friendly too!

This place has a lot of hype as it is always busy even on weekdays during the day. The cafe looks nice enough but the issue is the undecided atmosphere. You have 30% of the people there doing work on their laptops. But there is no wifi offered & limited outlets, so it's almost like they are forcing it as a work space. On top of this the rest of the people there are chatting away. I initially came here to eat & get some work done but did not find it a suitable space to work & went to another cafe afterwards. I ordered a breakfast sandwich & I have to say it was pretty plain. The pancakes seem to be popular though so I might need to spin back for those sometime.
Nice café with good vibes. The food is delicious, with a good variety of small bites & meals. Staff is knowledgeable so don't hesitate to ask for help when selecting which coffee beans to buy.
Had been wanting to visit this cafe for a long time, was finally able to. Loved the vibe of this place. Went on a Monday, & it was pretty packed with a lineup. I personally loved the soup. As far as I know, weekends are crazy to go here. The ice coffee was on point & also my breakfast sandwich with tomato soup, soo good.

Le café est bon, la bouffe aussi, mais que dire du service.. déjà, c'est très long. Attendre 30 min. Pour un café c'est inacceptable. Le service est nonchalant, vraiment ne vous attendez pas à un sourire de la part de qui que ce soit qui y travaille. Bon, j'y retourne quand même encore & encore. Que voulez-vous :)
Une expérience parfaite du début à la fin ! La nourriture est tout simplement délicieuse, avec des plats bien présentés & des saveurs incroyables. Les boissons sont tout aussi excellentes. Quant au service, il est impeccable : l'équipe est souriante, accueillante & toujours aux petits soins. September Café is a breakfast paradise that absolutely exceeded our expectations! We tried the tomato & burrata toast, which was out of this world-fresh, flavorful, & perfectly balanced. The avocado toast was equally delightful, with the perfect mix of creamy & crunchy. The halloumi toast & fried chicken sandwich were also fantastic, each offering a unique & delicious twist on classic breakfast fare. What really impressed us were the cold brews; every one we tried was simply amazing, with rich flavors & the perfect kick to start the day. The quality & attention to detail in every dish & drink we had were exceptional. The ambiance of the café is cozy & welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax & enjoy a meal. The staff was friendly & attentive, adding to the overall fantastic experience. September Café has truly mastered the art of breakfast, & we can't wait to come back for more. The best iced latte in Montreal! September Surf is a very cool cafe in a cute neighbourhood. The food & coffee is excellent, the prices are really good too! I also love the classic breakfast sandwich, pancakes & avocado toast. I haven't tried other things but I have heard everything non the menu is delicious. I visit a few times a week & the quality is always there. However, often (especially on weekends), you can be waiting over an hour outside in line. In the summer it gets quite hot as there aren't many trees near by. The staff works really hard trying to get ppl through & they have a good system set up but it still takes FOREVER & can be very overstimulating/ loud. Perhaps an order ahead system could help fast track some orders? Either way it's such a minor issue compared to the quality I still frequent September.
Il y a beaucoup de monde, & les sièges ne sont pas très confortables, mais la nourriture est délicieuse, le personnel est aimable, & l'intérieur du café est magnifique☕️🥪
