I recently discovered September Cafe while walking through the neighborhood & I am so glad I stopped in. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy with just the right amount of background noise to allow for some focused work. I ordered an oat milk latte & a pastry & both were fresh & prepared perfectly. It is clear that the staff cares about quality here. I will definitely be making this my new regular spot for weekend mornings when I need a change of scenery from my home office.
This is easily one of the best cafes in the city. The coffee is consistently excellent & the staff are always very friendly even when it gets busy during the morning rush. I appreciate that the space is kept very clean & the seating is comfortable enough to stay for a while. It has a great local vibe that is hard to find these days. Whether you are looking for a place to catch up with a friend or just want a quiet corner to read a book this is the place to go.
September Cafe has become my favorite place to unwind after a long day. The lighting is soft & the music selection is always tasteful which creates a relaxing environment that is perfect for resetting. I usually grab a tea & a small snack & the consistency is always top notch. It is nice to support a local business that puts so much effort into the customer experience. I have recommended this spot to several coworkers already & everyone has had a great time so far.
I visited September Cafe for the first time yesterday & I was impressed by the minimalist aesthetic & the quality of the service. The barista was very knowledgeable about the different bean origins & helped me pick a pour over that I really enjoyed. It is rare to find a place that takes their craft so seriously while remaining so approachable. Prices are reasonable for the area & the overall experience felt very professional. I am looking forward to coming back soon to try their food menu.
Always crowded , which tells the food is good & thats why we always loved to go there!! But BuT But … they are not managing their sitting area well. Less space & they are doing nothing about it. This morning it was garbage pickup day & least did they bother about the people having food in the patio when their garbage was smelling so bad that we could not eat the food & had to throw it.
The 2 garbage trucks were back to back were trying to pick their garbage which wasn't properly dumped as per recycling rules. The garbage trucks left some of their garbage bags & the cafe owner did not bother to either tell the people having meals about this inconvenience. No more coming back after this pissed off morning.
I live around the corner & walk past September cafe multiple times a day. Today, alas, my girlfriend & I decided to give them a try. Overall, our takeaway was that this place was way overhyped & too expensive. The food was decent, but between the long line, limited menu, chaotic atmosphere inside, & paying $91 for a toast, burger, pancakes, & a coffee I will not be returning again. Solid cafe at best that somehow got way overhyped & people will go because there's a line.
I went to this cafe with my friends, the line outside was too long but I don't mind waiting I know it's a really popular place. But the service was insanely lame, our server was slow & forgot about our order 3 times we waited an hour for pancakes.
They just look & act like they don't wanna be here, everybody is rude & they don't smile.
If you come here you need to be as PATIENT as possible, they literally try their best to get on your nerves.
We came around 1 pm, it's 2:25 when I'm writing this & the order is still not there.
Good coffee but a bit overhyped. I came before opening hours & there was still a lineup ! Lol . To be honest , the lineup made the marketing, i would pass by Little Burgundy streets often & there was always a line up at this café & i wondered why so one day, i decided to wake up early at 7:00 to go to this place, so i could be at the door at 8:00 so i could escape the line up & try the coffee here but I couldn't!! There was still a line up!! i knew that one of Montreal's oldest traditions is to line up. If there is no orange cones , there is always a lineup instead!! People line up for everything & nothing here.. so yeah, welcome to the September cafe that should be renamed' the line up' cafe.
Very small seating area, crowded & difficult to enjoy. The food wasn't as enjoyable as social media portrays it. Staff is welcoming & friendly, the cafe is well placed in Montreal. I wouldn't necessarily come back but I'm glad I tried it once.
