Café Rì Yuè comes across as a small, cozy and visually charming cafe near Place des Arts, beloved for inventive drinks and beautiful pastries that range from matcha and hojicha lattes to yuzu and ube cheesecakes, macarons, and other delicate desserts, with many reviews highlighting the quality and presentation. The vibe is intimate and welcoming, with plenty of natural light and cute decor, but seating can be limited and at times the space feels crowded, sometimes requiring customers to share tables. The staff are frequently praised for friendliness and attentiveness, though a few notes mention variable service and occasional delays or mix ups. Prices are sometimes described as a bit high for the portions, though the menu of full cakes is noted as convenient for celebrations. The cafe is repeatedly recommended for a quick coffee break or to meet a friend, and fans celebrate its desserts as not too sweet and beautifully crafted, with standout items like the matcha strawberry cake, yuzu cheesecake, and white chocolate matcha drinks. Overall, Café Rì Yuè appears to deliver a consistently cute and tasty experience for dessert lovers and matcha fans, even as space limitations and occasional service quirks keep it from being ideal for larger groups or longer study sessions.
If you love pastries of all kinds of flavours, this is the place for you! I finally got the chance to come here & it was worth it. For 29$ i got 2 pieces of cake, 2 macarons & a brownie. The cake was super moist & fluffy :)) i will definitely be coming back
I recently moved to the area & wanted to grab a coffee on my first day at my new apartment. Discovered this hidden gem right next to my apartment & I was truly amazed by the cute decor, the great ambiance & the friendliness of the staff! Tried their iced latte & it was exquisite🤩 Café Rì Yuè will definitely be my daily treat & I recommend it to everyone 😍
Cute little place, perfect for meeting up with friends to catch up. Staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, my iced tea didn't taste anything beside the yuzu they put in it, & it wasn't cheap. But I would give it another chance & try something else one day !
so happy that they opened a cafe! i've been in love with their cakes since their online shop days & always drop by when i visit montreal. i highly recommmend their fig tieguanyin cake & their oolong, matcha & thai tea fatcarons.
This is a such a cute small cafe tucked away from the hustle-bustle of downtown. The basque cheese cake was amazing & their yuzu miel tea seemed to prepared well; it was tangy, sour & sweet.
I love the look & atmosphere of this cafe. It is soo pleasant well decorated. I was surprised the flowers on the table were real. I took the mango puff & dalgona latte. Not only those tasted good but looked good. I love how the flatware, plates, & glasses look so dainty. I will go back again for sure.
