The atmosphere is always buzzing with energy & the espresso is consistently the best in the city. It is the perfect place to sit outside on a warm afternoon & just people watch while enjoying a high quality drink. The staff members are fast & professional even when the place is packed to the brim with customers. Highly recommended for anyone who values a genuine coffee house experience.
Honestly one of the most reliable cafes in Montreal. I come here specifically for the Italian style espresso which is rich & bold without being overly bitter. It is not really a place to bring your laptop & work for hours because it is usually quite loud & busy but it is incredible for catching up with friends. The service is efficient & the location is great for continuing a walk through the city after you finish your drink. I really appreciate the authentic atmosphere they have maintained.
This is a quintessential Montreal cafe experience that you simply cannot miss. The crowd is diverse & the energy is always upbeat. I appreciate that they focus on doing a few things very well rather than having a massive complicated menu. The espresso is robust & always served at the perfect temperature. I usually grab a seat on the terrace if the weather permits. It feels like a piece of Europe dropped right into the middle of the neighborhood. A must visit for any serious coffee lover in the area.
I ordered an affogato at Café Olimpico & specifically asked for decaf, but I'm pretty sure I was served regular espresso. I couldn't sleep at all that night & had to work the next morning, not ideal. If you're sensitive to caffeine, I'd recommend double-checking your order.
Stumbled upon Cafe Olimpico last Saturday morning & honestly it's become my new favorite weekend ritual in the city. The espresso they pulled was genuinely one of the best I've had in Montreal - rich & perfectly balanced without being bitter. The space has this old-school Italian coffee bar vibe that feels completely unpretentious, just locals hanging out & reading the paper. If you haven't made it out to Mile End yet, this place alone is worth the trip.
Great vibe! Very urban cafe. The espresso is excellent albeit the cup size is quite small. We ordered mocha & cappuccino, both were very good but you finish the drinks fairly quickly. The heavenly taste cookie was excellent too
Café Olimpico in the Mile End is a legendary institution for a reason. Their old-school espresso is consistently perfect-strong, smooth, & authentic. The atmosphere captures that classic Italian café vibe perfectly, making it the best spot to grab a coffee & soak in the local energy. In the summer, their outdoor terrace is the place to be, offering a great space to relax & enjoy the neighborhood. It is a must-visit for any coffee purist.
Café Olimpico is an absolute gem. The staff are incredibly warm & welcoming, creating an atmosphere that feels both familiar & full of character. The coffee is the real star here-authentic Italian quality, rich & perfectly balanced, just the way it should be. Whether you're grabbing an espresso at the bar or settling in with a cappuccino, every cup feels like a little trip to Italy. Highly recommend! ☕🇮🇹
The Best cortado I have ever had. The espresso extraction was dialled in perfectly. Also must try the pistachio biscuit!
I love my espresso & cortado's daily so when my brother found out I was visiting Montreal he highly recommended this spot.
This place is awesome at all hours of the day.
We stayed downtown so we visited the location on Boulevard Robert?Bourassa & we also enjoyed the location in Old Montreal.
If you like great coffee & a great vibe make sure you check out any of the locations.
The added old photos on the wall of the Italian national team Azzuri is a very nice touch.
You won't be disappointed.
