Food:
I could not try as much as I wanted because they sell out quickly, which honestly says a lot. The cortado was excellent: smooth, strong, & well made without being harsh. I also grabbed a bomboloni & another pastry I cannot remember the name of, & both were great. Fresh, satisfying, & exactly the kind of quick café pastry that makes you wish you had gotten there earlier to try more.
Service:
Friendly & efficient. I had to move quickly, but everything was handled smoothly.
Summary:
Easy 5/5. Even with a quick stop, the coffee & pastries made a strong impression. Definitely worth visiting before the best stuff sells out.
This place is one of the best coffee bars in Montreal! It's crazy busy, seems even more so as it is tiny inside. Lots of choices for pastries as well. We got an Affogato, hot chocolate, & tiramisu .
Olimpico is always a favourite of mine to visit, it's a Montreal staple for a reason.
Justin served me last time I visited & made my experience even better offering great customer service.
Olimpico has become a true staple in my daily routine. The staff are always friendly & inviting & the atmosphere lively & dynamic. Justin in particular brings such a light to getting coffee everyday. He's gregarious & charming, is always up for a chat- & makes a delicious iced latte to boot. Olimpico will always be a favourite of mine.
I stopped by this café during a rainstorm hoping to get a drink & sit inside. Unfortunately, the customer service was some of the worst I've experienced.
The seating area was full & I noticed a staircase leading upstairs, so I waited at the counter to ask whether there was additional seating. The barista was busy making drinks, so I waited patiently. But after standing there for several minutes without any acknowledgment whatsoever, I simply said'Hi.'
He immediately replied'Wait for your turn. I'm serving 4 people before you.' Mind you, I was the only person standing at the counter. There was no greeting & no basic courtesy. When he finally decided to address me, I asked if there were more seats upstairs. He said'What you see is what you get.' His attitude was so dismissive & rude, I was shocked that this is the standards Olimpico Cafe has for their staff.
If this is the level of customer service this café considers acceptable, I won't be returning ever again.
One of the best coffee shops in town. The menu is pretty limited & there's no fancy syrups or upsizes. The coffee is delicious & affordable. The staff are always friendly & the service is fast even when there's a lineup.
Visited this little (& I mean really little) place in mid-May 2026 because I heard the cannoli at Café Olimpico was pretty good. They have a number of locations but this one is right across of Eaton Centre, tucked away in a tiny shop. There was a big line that was crammed inside but we waited & ordered a cannoli. Gotta say that I was underwhelmed. It kinda tasted like it was sitting too long & the shell got a bit too stale.
Small coffee shop with big flavor. Can get really busy. Justin was great & sugar cookies were on spot
very good taste good quality & the person at the counter was amazing I didn't know that the tiramisu had alcohol in it & he told me once I reached the counter!!
highly appreciated ♡
