Very busy (because it's famously good) but super unique coffee shop with a cool vibe & interior. Be prepared to queue but worth it.

Coffee slushy is a completely unique experience but somehow works!

I finally tried this cafe & it was excellent. The only problem is that the Remix, a frozen blended coffee, may have ruined me for all other frozen coffees. It was fantastic. The desserts look amazing as well.
There are limited non coffee drink options but my husband enjoyed the frozen lemonade.
It is typically lined up due to its popularity so it's best to aim to go off peak.
Very limited seating.

Were from PEI. Googled'best coffee' & got this place. They weren't wrong. Best part was we came here repeatedly (yes, we also waited in a long line) & the staff greeted us each time we came in with'Heyyyyy PEI'! Do yourself a favor & get the coffee ice cream or whatever its called. Unreal!

I have been coming to this spot for years & it never fails to deliver a perfect espresso every single time. The atmosphere is always lively & it really feels like a piece of old school Montreal right in the heart of the city. The service is efficient even when it is packed & the outdoor seating is great for people watching on a sunny afternoon. Definitely a must visit if you appreciate authentic coffee culture.

This place is a true institution. You come here for the vibe & the history more than anything else. It is not fancy & does not try to be which is exactly why I like it so much. The coffee is consistently strong & it is the ideal spot to start your day before heading into the office. I recommend grabbing a seat outside if the weather allows because the energy on the street is always fantastic.

Loved this place! I was scimming through Google looking for a local coffee spot near our hotel when I found this place. It was a few blocks away & worth the trip! I made sure to get a few things for the road as we were checking out later that day. The interior has only a few seats but outside around the corner is a covered area we stood while it rained enjoying our coffees & pasties. The barista is exceptional & really does a great job.

Cafe Freddo , best tasting beans, great brew, the sheer taste of the coffee is a must try for all coffee lovers! I could have had 2 more sitting there !

We came here twice on our trip to get their coffee. The first time we got an affogato, & a cafe remix which is this cold/frozen drink with coffee, ice cream, milk, & then put in a bottle. The second time we just got a cappuccino.

Overall the coffee is pretty good & the affogato was decent. The cafe remix was also good but rather sweet & has a lot of caffeine in it so you will definitely be up if you have one.

There is usually a line but it moves quickly & the staff is pretty nice. The inside of this location is kind of small so maybe not the place to sit with your coffee but overall a decent experience.
