The coffee, paninis, sweet treats, the vibe, everything is great but especially the barista. He brews phenomenal coffee. 100% recommend

Café fantastique. Les baristas & propriétaires sont très fiers de leur travail, & c'est très justifié. Expérience authentique & artisanale. Service personable & nourriture délicieux. Les pâtisseries sont fantastiques & un peu sucré à mon goût. Le café est très bien présenté & un peu acide à mon goût. C'est difficile à dire, mais il y a aussi un très belle ambiance de communauté dans le café. Petite note qu'on m'est venu à la table me demander si je voulais commander quelque chose alors que j'attendais un ami 5-10min alors que ce n'était pas très occupé. Selon moi, je sentais qu'il y avait un peu de pression, mais je comprends aussi que le flanâge ne serait pas bon pour le business non plus. Je reviendrai certainement, surtout pour essayer les paninis qui sentaient très bon.

I had an incredible experience at this café. The cappuccino was simply amazing-smooth with perfect consistency & a beautifully foamy top. The light dusting of chocolate was a nice touch that made it even better. The chocolate croissant was fresh & buttery, the perfect pairing with my coffee. I also loved the thoughtful gesture of being brought a glass of iced water alongside everything. One of the highlights was the unique & pleasant classical music playing inside. It really added to the cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Special shout-out to Alex, the nicest barista ever! Their service made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping by!

I have spent 2 weeks in Montreal & had an amazing time. Found this local italian cafe near my accommodation & fell in love with the coffee & peach croissants, ps. Alex, the barista is really nice ;)

We found this cafe in Mile-End while on vacation in Montreal. In the morning we ordered 2 caffe lattes (one oat, the other dairy) which were so rich & delicious. The food looked & smelled delicious, like my Nonna's kitchen in Brooklyn! But sadly we had lunch reservations elsewhere. As we were leaving we struck up a conversation with the baristas who were warm & kind. After exploring Mile-End for a couple of hours we were hungry & thirsty & knew we had to come back to Cafe Novanta! We returned & order more coffee & dessert (tiramisu & the pignoli lemon custard cake) which were delicious! Again as we left we couldn't help but strike up a conversation with the baristas (who remembered us)! They told us more about their cafe, all of the homemade foods & desserts, & some recommendations for what to do if we come back to visit Montreal. They were courteous, funny, & warm.
