Charcuterie board was good, could have used a less basic cheese though. The artichokes were a pleasantly unique touch but not sure why they were piled on the sun-dried tomatoes. The sun-dried tomatoes were delicious. The cured meat was nice. Olives were good quality. Maybe serve it on a board?
The focaccia wasn't really like any other focaccia I get at other places. It's passable with the above platter but otherwise I wouldn't get it.
The Zozzona was disappointing, you couldn't taste & barely could see the sausage. There was nothing to balance out the strong cheeses.
I enjoyed the funghi e tartufo, very solid mushroom pasta dish.
Tiramisu wasn't cut properly & was mostly mascarpone. Didn't really have enough flavour to it.
Overall I think more effort could be put into presentation.
My Negroni Terra was good, very similar to a typical Negroni.
Cute decor. Nice 80s music. Excellent service. Was very helpful with the wine. Called me when my friend forgot her bag, which was very appreciated.

Had a great experience at Restaurant Figata. Fun vibe, friendly service, & a really solid menu.

We shared a bunch of appetizers including the charcuterie board, focaccia, meatballs, Caesar salad, & burrata all delicious & perfect for the table. The pastas were just as good, & we finished with ice cream & tiramisu which hit the spot 🍝🍨

Newly opened & already feels like they're doing things right. The place was full & the energy showed it. Definitely worth a visit 👍

Fries - mid. Felt even under-salted. Crispy; I liked the shape, but the bowl came barely filled because the sauce cups took up so much room. There were a lot of scraps (half curlies, even 1/3rd curlies). -5
Meat sauce - boring, like just simple meat sauce.
Béchamel - good, okay sauce felt kind of like a mushroom saice.
The concept seems fun, but the flavours felt a little flat.
Caesar - good, very anchovy-forward!! -7.7
Perfect amount of parmesan - I liked it. If you don't like anchovies, you might not enjoy it (there were also some stray anchovies in the bowl). Some pieces were so saucy, I enjoyed that. Lettuce was fresh & good, but no croutons (she said she'd give us non-bacon ones, but we didn't get them) - still enjoyed it. Definitely an acquired taste.
Mushroom - noodle al dente a bit; I liked the noodle shape. It was good. While I love mushrooms, it felt almost like too many. Good, but Amerigo mushroom pasta is even better (though this was the best of the bunch). 7
Tomato - interesting spice. There was something a little weird in the sauce, like an unrecognizable, earthy flavour. I liked the shape, but it was solid average - nothing outstanding, literally just a tomato sauce with cheese. -5
Vodka - disappointing . Spice overpowering; doesn't taste like vodka sauce at all. Besides spice, it has no flavour whatsoever. Homemade is honestly better. -4
Service - good. They filled our water often. Our waitress was nice. Good romantic ambiance, dark, so if you're someone who pulls out a flashlight in dark restaurants, beware your flashlight will be out. Cute vibe - it's Italian, homey( with the tablecloths), but with a more fancy vibe.
All in all, everyone I went with, myself included, rated it between 5-6. for the total restaurant experience food wise.
It's a try-once-&-go-back-to-your-comfort-spot kind of place. Definitely overrated, & I wouldn't go back, just a place you try because everyone is posting on TikTok.

Great time at Figata - I loved the vibe. The service was good & the atmosphere was really nice.
My two comments:
First, $19 for a drink is a bit excessive. I was actually the only one at the table who ordered one because everyone else found the price too high. I'm totally fine paying $14-15 for a cocktail, but when my drink is almost the same price as my main meal… I'm good, thanks.
Second, portion sizes were solid for my friends (risotto, mushroom pasta, & vodka pasta all looked great). My pasta vongole was delicious, & there was a generous amount of clams & sauce, but the actual pasta portion felt a bit light. It just needed a little more to balance the dish.
The calamari & shrimp were really good. The burrata was good as well. The focaccia, though, felt more like sliced bread than house-made focaccia.
Overall, I'd go back - I'd just rethink what I order next time… & probably stick to water.

Figata is just a really solid Italian restaurant that gets the basics right-& that's exactly why it works.
The vibe is warm & relaxed without feeling trendy or overdesigned. It's comfortable, well-lit, & feels like a place meant for eating & talking, not taking selfies. You sit down, order a glass of wine, & you're immediately at ease.
The food is the star. The pasta is excellent across the board: properly cooked, well-seasoned, & not drowned in sauce. The flavors are clean & confident. Nothing feels overworked or gimmicky. Whether it's a creamy mushroom pasta or a tomato-based dish finished with cheese, it tastes like someone in the kitchen actually knows what they're doing.
The appetizers are simple & done right. Burrata is fresh & creamy, vegetables are treated properly, & everything tastes like quality ingredients instead of kitchen tricks. It's classic Italian cooking with restraint, which is harder to find than it should be.
Service is friendly, efficient, & knows when to leave you alone. No hovering, no attitude, no upselling nonsense. Just solid, professional service. The wine list is strong, leans Italian, & pairs well with the menu without being overpriced.
Figata doesn't try to reinvent Italian food or chase trends. It focuses on execution, consistency, & comfort-& it delivers on all three. If you want dependable, well-made Italian food in Montreal, this is an easy five-star spot & a place you'll want to come back to.
