I love coming here for my matchas. Their portion is the perfect size & it's not too milky & not too sweet & I think the prices are very affordable!

Good matcha. Their blueberry one wasn't my favourite, but their orange blossom is very very very good. The best flavoured matcha in the city in my opinion. Their earl grey sea salt is also an amazing matcha, however I noticed that the level of sweetness is not always the same when I go when it comes to the earl grey one. This spot was on my'must-try coffee list of Montreal', & I think I've just unlocked a new craving, their iced sea salt earl grey matcha was to die for. Now I have to come back to try the rest of the menu because everything looked absolutely delicious.
The Vietnamese fusion drink concept is so unique & well-executed, the flavors blend perfectly. The café itself is quite small, so I recommend coming early if you want to grab a seat.
One of the highlights was definitely the staff, the baristas & owners were incredibly friendly & welcoming. The vibe inside was just amazing. You could tell this place has a loyal crowd; people were chatting with one another like regulars, & the whole atmosphere felt warm & inviting.

Here's my honest review. I had the sea salt earl grey matcha latte. It was a very sweet drink. Basically sugar & milk. The Matcha taste was lost in the sweetness. If you are looking for a matcha drink I can't recommend this. I would say the taste is more of an earl grey latte rather than earl grey matcha latte thats how lost the matcha taste was. Probably less syrup, & less water when whisking the matcha. Make a koicha so it is stronger, I want to still be able to taste the nuttiness or the astringency rather than sweetened milk.View more

I tried their'Matcha Cosé' (iced) & really enjoyed it! The creme top they add definitely takes a while to mix in to the drink & it makes it very sweet (so if you don't love a super sweet matcha, I would recommend trying something else), but I really enjoyed it! Visited around 3-4 PM & was able to get a seat at a table (there are a few tables at booths along with some standalone tables & window seats). Would love to come back & try some of their other specialty drinks in the future!View more

So cozy, the coffee is really strong so will definitely satisfy your coffee cravings. Nice roasted flavour with the aftertaste. I wanted to try their matcha as I've heard great things about it & it was great! It is flavourful & naturally sweet (I always get it sugar free). It stands up as one of the best cafes in Montreal & easily compares to the most famous ones I've been to.
I like the area the most, it's very quiet & plenty of street parking. Customer service was great too & I overall loved the calm & quiet atmosphere. Light music was played too which was perfect.View more

Pas plus tard qu'hier, j'écrivais une critique intitulée « Ode à la tranquillité » dans laquelle je saluais l'atmosphère apaisante d'un restaurant de l'avenue Van Horne & l'affabilité de son personnel. Aujourd'hui, j'aimerais approfondir ma réflexion & exalter une notion sous-jacente à la tranquillité, celle de la dégustation du temps.
Le temps était une ressource précieuse & limitée, on est porté à croire de nos jours que son utilisation optimale implique participer au plus grand nombre d'activités possibles dans une journée. & si ce n'était pas plutôt l'inverse ? Pour profiter du temps, ne faudrait-il pas plutôt le... prendre ? Limiter les distractions, restreindre les engagements, alléger son horaire afin de s'immerger du plein de ses cinq sens dans le moment. En effet, ce n'est que lorsque l'on en savoure de longues bouchées contemplatives que sa richesse se relève & qu'on en jouit à satiété.
Au coeur de cette quête, une tranche de la journée exige spécialement qu'on la savoure : le repas; là où les langues se délient & où les amitiés se nouent (ou se dénouent, c'est selon !). Sûrement, vous aurez remarqué que les conversations les plus fécondes sont celles faites avec le ventre content.
Cet après-midi, bien que j'eusse le ventre content, je suis resté sur ma faim. Je ne ferai certes pas le café Cosé porter le chapeau du blâme ! Au contraire, je n'ai que de bons mots pour leur accueil, leur décor & leur cuisine.
D'ailleurs, leurs boissons maison à elles seules valent le détour ! À commencer par le café Vietnamien (5 $) qui procure une expérience sensorielle unique, une symétrie entre l'amertume du café & le sucré du lait concentré, avec une mention tout aussi honorable pour le matcha Cosé (6,5 $) & le Saigon Fog (6,5 $), magnifiés par la mousse d'oeuf battue qui caresse les lèvres comme un toucher de soie.
Aussi, très honnête est leur carte de sandwichs qui, en plus de se présenter sous un aspect appétissant, éclatent de fraîcheur & de saveur. On ne parle pas d'une révolution du genre, mais de préparations réalisées avec soin & amour avec les meilleurs ingrédients sous la main.
Au surplus, sachant que leurs pâtisseries viennent de la réputée boulangerie Guillaume, serait-il hasardeux de présumer que leur délicieux pain est élaboré par les mêmes mains ? Enfin, mes trois compagnes de table & moi avons englouti avec appétit leurs deux sandwichs déjeuner, la tartine d'avocat & le bagel au saumon fumé (avec des prix oscillant entre 10,50 & 14,50 $).
Par conséquent, ce sentiment de manque que j'ai ressenti & rapporté est dû à une carence en temps de qualité. Aussitôt arrivée, l'une de mes amies devait partir, emmenant le reste de la troupe avec elle. Délaissé, je suis quand même resté quelques minutes de plus pour immortaliser quelques clichés, ramasser les assiettes & les verres, les déposer dans l'évier en voulant assister le seul employé en service, pris d'assaut par l'arrivée simultanée d'une quinzaine de clients. Puis, sentant ma présence redondante alors que j'avais cédé ma table, je suis parti.
De ce fait, ma connaissance de la faune & de la flore du café Cosé demeure superficielle & je regrette n'avoir aucune anecdote savoureuse à raconter.
Je vous exhorte donc, en ce bel après-midi de mars, à prendre vos aises sur l'une des belles chaises tressées du Cosé de beige dressé, à poser vos regards sur la table & à ne penser à rien d'autre qu'à votre café viet, votre sandwich déj, & votre ami céans. Laissez de côté vos préoccupations &, pour moins de 20 $ par personne, savourez pleinement ce moment suspendu.View more
