Chez Téta emerges from reviews as a warm, welcoming Lebanese spot with a casual, lively vibe and a strong emphasis on house made bread, fresh ingredients, and generous hospitality. Diners rhapsodize about the manoucheh varieties, dips, fattoush, hummus, and wraps, plus standout beverages like cardamom latte and rose latte, with sfouf and pistachio rose cakes cited as memorable finishes. The food is frequently described as flavorful, authentic, and comforting, with many noting that the flavors remind them of home and that the portions are satisfying for the price. The ambiance is described as cozy and inviting, sometimes bustling, with a terrace in summer and a buzz that can make the place feel busy, yet staff are repeatedly praised for friendliness, attentiveness, and quick service on large orders. A few reservations appear about peak times, where wait times and occasional mix ups can occur, and one or two mentions of limited seating or noise. Overall the consensus is that Chez Téta delivers a remarkable Lebanese dining experience in Montreal, with reliable quality, memorable desserts, and a sense of being part of a family run neighborhood gem.
I've been coming here for a few years & have always appreciated the excellent food, espresso & service. Today we came as a group of 5 including a couple with an infant for brunch. Within 40 minutes we were made to feel rushed by the staff who asked twice if we were done despite someone clearly still eating their manakeesh (more than half the dish was still on the plate & they were attending to a crying infant). I completely understand the need to ensure tables are turned over in a timely fashion on a busy weekend, however this felt aggressive & unfortunately ruined our experience. As such I don't see myself returning on a weekend nor recommending this place for brunch.
Je suis allée avec mon club de course & j'ai adoré l'expérience. J'ai goûté au latte ainsi qu'au cake, les deux étaient délicieux. J'ai déjà très hâte de revenir pour le lunch, le menu avait l'air absolument incroyable!
A really special place with really special people that work there. From the food, to the coffee, to the customer service, & the atmosphere, this place is very unique & makes its customers feel very special.
Absolutely fantastic food. Had the fattouche & the Manouche, DELICUOUS!!! Lovely light meal, but still very filling & sensational flavours. Absolutely recommended!
C'est la première fois que j'y vais avec ma meilleure amie & comment vous dire qu'on est reparti du resto en sachant très bien qu'on allait revenir !! Les services sont d'une gentillesses & la nourriture est incroyable & surtout abordables ❤?

The food was amazing & the service even better. Our server Delilah (sorry if I'm not spelling it correctly) was the sweetest & had great energy. She made us feel very welcome & we will definitely come back :)
Such a peaceful & welcoming place , perfectly balanced manouché with cheese & zaatar. The rose latte & the pistachio-rose cake were the sweetest finishing touch. Chez Téta truly transports you with its flavors. I'll absolutely be returning!
