Teta is one of my go-tos when I visit the plateau! Their food is always worth the wait - especially in spring & summer when the Plateau is doing its thing, you can enjoy their seating outside. I recommend trying any of their manousheh along with a Lebanese flavoured iced latte - cardamom is my fave!View more

One thing I wasn't fond of was the rose latte. Very very bitter, it needed a lot of sugar. The cakes, on the other hand, are all incredible.

I got the halva latte & the sfouf cake.
Halva latte: I loved this. It was made really well -- not overly milky, not overly sweet, the rose/saffron/pistachio flavors really came through, as did the espresso.
Sfouf cake: I loved the flavors of this cake, it was nutty & really fragrant. The cake was very moist & not overly sweet. The turmeric is very strong though, it dried out my mouth.
Highly recommend the drinks & pastries here. Chez Tata really delivers on the flavors. Service was wonderful also. I had so many questions about the pastries displayed & the barista took the time to go through all of them & let me know what they were in detail.View more

I wish the seating was more comfortable, proper chairs instead of stools & having more privacy rather than sharing with others & hearing their conversations. Otherwise food was good & the rose latté I had was tasty & unique. Don't come in if you're in a hurry because there's quite the wait.View more

One thing I know is I can never travel to Montreal without eating at Cafe Chez Teta. Everything about this place is amazing. The food, the atmosphere, the employees! My favorite: The cardamom latte & their manoushes (Can't decide which one!). Where I live in the US we don't have anything like Cafe Chez Teta, Montreal is very lucky! The service was great, very friendly & informative. The food was outstanding! So full of flavour & perfectly prepared. We got the halva latte & cardamom ice coffee as well. Le meilleur café / restau de Montréal a mon goût ! Les boissons sont très bonnes, en particulier le latte & le chai latte, les manouches sont excellents, le personnels est efficace & très agréable.
