Cuisine francaise, avec de tres bons plats de belles presentations & savoureux! Je retiens cette adresse pour le diner surement une autre fois! Pour les petits dejeuners c'est trop cher vaut mieux aller ailleurs! Excellente cuisine francaise!
J'ai commandé une soupe de poisson qui était excellente. Après j'ai pris comme repas principal l'onglet de boeuf medium & j'ai reçu l'onglet bleu. J'ai dis à la serveuse que c'était pas la bonne cuisson & elle est retourné en cuisine pour que le cuisinier cuit plus l'onglet tout en s'excusant . La serveuse est revenu avec le repas & je regarde de nouveau il était encore bleu alors je lui ai dit de le mettre dans un plat & que j'allais le faire cuire chez moi . Déception. A part cela très bon service . Le dessert était excellent. Le resto mérite quand même une bonne note mais pas le cuisinier qui a cuit mon onglet.

Le plaisir est dans les détails .Le Cherrier est redevenu Le Cherrier. Très bonne cuisine à prix correct, bonne liste de vin, les plats classiques & de nouvelles trouvailles, service attentif & courtois , & enfin l'atmosphère « Cherrier »
We have come here almost every time we visit Montreal. Always a great experience. Food was perfectly prepared & served hot. Love sitting on the outdoor patio
Terrasse agréable. Vin excellent & viande très bonne.
Apéritif submergé par les glaçons (beaucoup d'eau, aucun goût).
Desserts corrects mais tarte Tatin servie sans boule de glace à la vanille & chantilly !!!

une cuisson de celles-ci que je peux surpasser à la maison.

Ma première fois à ce restaurant, j'avais 14 ans & j'ignorais qu'un steak tartare se mangeait cru. J'ai voulu faire l'expérience du steak cuit, tel que annoncé dans l'émission Coup de food avec Guy Jodoin & sa sauce à l'os à moelle. C'était vraiment très bon. La cuisson du steak était parfaite! L'ambiance est très parisien, je reviens de voyage à Paris & je dois dire que c'était bien meilleur que beaucoup de restaurants qu'on a visité & meilleur marché!

I recently went to Café Cherrier with one of my good friends, & it turned out to be one of those meals you remember long after. Nestled in the Plateau, the place has that effortlessly elegant French vibe-cozy inside, with a terrace that's perfect for people-watching. We shared a bottle of wine from their excellent selection (French, of course), & every dish we tried felt like a little trip to Paris. The onion soup was rich & comforting, & the steak tartare was spot-on. It's the kind of restaurant where you linger over dessert & conversation, & we did just that.
Superbe place. Le service est tellement convivial. L'habit traditionnel d'un serveur bistro parisien est encore au rendez-vous, chic. Une place super'casual' cela dit, alors très confortable. L'onglet de boeuf est succulent. A nice institution dishing out consistence & traditional dishes in a cozy casual atmosphere. Merci!

We did not have a good experience here. The setting is charming & it has an authentic French brasserie feel but the food & service were disappointing. The gravlax salmon was touch & floating in vinegar. Having made & eaten gravlax many times, it was shocking that any real chef would present this & to make matters worse, it was served with bland bun coated in sesame seeds, not unlike a hot dog bun. Horrible. I had to send it back The pasta we ordered was very ordinary. The waitress was not apologetic, helpful or pleasant. All in all extremely disappointing. Cannot wait for L'express to reopen. They know what they're doing.
Bonjour. Restaurant sympathique style français. Accueil sympathique. Une fois servi le serveur n est pas venu très souvent nous voir à savoir si tout était à notre satisfaction...car mon conjoint sa viande était bleue & coriace .. à notre section du resto il n' y avait pas beaucoup de monde un autre couple mon conjoint a demandé a un autre serveur qui a fait le message à notre serveur...mon conjoint a fait un autre choix sans problème...Pour ma part un choix foie de veau.une belle assiette avec légumes & sauce...
