Reviews portray Café Cherrier as a Montreal institution with a cozy Parisian bistro feel, delivering consistently solid classic French dishes, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere whether on a terrace or inside; diners praise generous portions, a strong selection of wines and beers, and reliable quality across staples like gravlax, gigot d'agneau, onglet de boeuf, ris de veau, onion soup, and tartare, often noting good value for the quality though a few mention that some dishes can be a touch pricey or portions could be a touch larger; while the ambience is described as charming and the service as friendly and professional, at times the room can be noisy and service pace uneven, and a handful of visits are recalled with exceptional brunch or private dining moments, but the overall tone is one of consistency and fondness for the place.
Bonjour, j'adore ce restaurant. Peu importe ce que vous prenez au menu, tout est très très bon & le service est impeccable. J'y retourne à chaque fois que nous allons faire des activités dans ce secteur de la ville. Il y a stationnement à proximité.
Good is good. Overpriced. Service is not so friendly. Toilet area right in front of kitchen… literally you walk out of the toilet & can enter kitchen. Odd.
The food was amazing, perfect for big gatherings or a cute date with a loved one. Elizabeth was our server & she was extraordinary!! Best service I've ever had at a restaurant & was really attentive!! Not only did she go above & beyond, but she was very professional & has an amazing sense of humour. Would highly recommend just for her service alone!!
