Café Chat L'Heureux is a welcoming, spacious cat cafe where resident cats roam freely and add a warm, relaxing vibe to a cozy space. Reviews praise friendly staff, solid coffee and desserts, vegetarian friendly options, and cats that are well cared for and often sociable, making it a hit with cat lovers and families. The experience is described as calming and enjoyable, though weekends can be crowded and noisy with longer waits for drinks or seating, and on some visits the cats' interaction time felt limited. Some diners mention slow service or variable cleanliness and price, often explained as supporting the cats, while others find the prices reasonable for the experience. A few emphasize supervising children around the cats to keep them comfortable. Overall, Café Chat L'Heureux is a charming spot to hang out with cats and enjoy drinks or light bites, with experiences that vary by day and crowd.
This was a place I had wanted to visit for a long time. The cats were beautiful, the food was delicious, & it's truly an original & charming spot. We were able to take some lovely photos & make a few nice videos.
Très chouette petit bar à chats, personnel très agréable & chats très mignons. Il y a beaucoup de choix sur la carte. Nous avons juste prix à boire mais il y a moyen de manger un repas

Cute cafe with good drinks & food, but let's be honest...the cute kitties are the stars of the show. They're all unique & adorable. Coffee & food really was good though, too.
Absolutely loved it! Went with a friend but I'd def go back with my girlfriend!!! The cats are lovely & super petting friendly & they love to sleep lmao. The coffee was good & somewhat not that expensive compared to some places I've been in Montreal. My only complaint is the parking, but yet again it's mid mtl so we went thankfully by metro. Also the service was a tiny long but yet again the place was pretty crowded for a Sunday, there was even a small line when we got there. Apart from that, amazing place! Would recommend!
We visited on a Saturday afternoon & waited less than 10 minutes to get in. At first I was skeptical of the experience because they had only 7 cats & like 40 customers in the cafe, so the cat per customer was quite low. However, once we got our drinks & settled in, the vibe was actually quite lovely & some of the cats made their rounds across the room quite frequently. The vegan chocolate cookie dessert was more like a cake & quickly devoured by my nonvegan companion because it was so good. Overall a lovely experience. Great service too although we could tell they were understaffed.
The food is excellent, the grilled cheese with fig especially so. The cats are a nice touch. People go a little crazy for them & they mostly want to relax. The vegetarian menu is worth going for alone
Absolutely amazing! A 5 month old kitten fell asleep on me for about an hour. The staff are friendly, the food is good, the kitties are adorable. A must-see if you're in Montreal!
The cats were so cute! They explored the room happily. I was really impressed with the meal- a tasty grilled cheese & a delicious pudding. Very fun experience.
Any place that has cats to look at & pet is good. What makes this place great is the fact that the staff are lovely & the food & beverages available are delicious!
