Totally worth the hype! Matcha Freddo with Christmas special peppermint dust, made the visit more special. Came alone but was a total vibe! I would recommend it! A little busy cafe.
Last stop in the morning for some matcha latte. It is quite a long walk from the nearest metro station but I did enjoy the walk to the location. Settled to have my drink to go. The matcha was smooth as expected with some sweetness. Enjoyed the walk back to the metro station sipping on my matcha drink. I wish I could have visited again to try thr Freddo latte!
Tried the viral Freddie cap & it was good- very strong coffee taste. Would come back to try their matcha version! Keep in mind that it is a somewhat small & tightly packed cafe ( visited on a Sunday morning )

I have to be honest that the freddo matcha & freddo cappuccino are both overrated & not worth it. Even if the proceeds are meant to go for good cause, the fundraising product should still be something enjoyable. For me personally, it was just half glass of foam & then half glass of ice with very little drinkable content. Their other products seem ok so I'll leave it for others to find out. Service was great btw.
Is it worth the hype? I would say YES, because i personally love their matcha flavor it's a strong bitter matcha flavor as I think they added sugar in it. But overall, Its definitely my taste & I would go back here for a matcha run when in Montréal.
They're so quick so even if there's a small queue you'll be served fast. Everything was incredible & tasted amazing. The inside is so cozy & the staff is never rude no matter how chaotic the place can get. We got the freddo matcha & cap & it felt like sipping on a cloud. Deff worth the price (which is pretty average)

Yes, I came here because of the Instagram hype. Yes, it really lived up to the expectations. Even though there was a line, it went really fast. The staff working are all very kind with great vibes. The music & the interior add to the love I have for this place. The matcha freddo was excellent, & their espresso is strong & bold.
TikTok trendy, this $8.05 matcha actually felt like drinking cardboard after the first satisfying sip. Maybe the coffees are better but this matcha was not it, I actually feel thirstier after every sip with the amount of foam they put for aesthetics. Indoor, outdoor seating, good vibes just bad drink
Service is really nice but drinks kinda suck, like espresso based drinks are bitter & a bit too dark & uninteresting. Matcha's don't taste like matcha at all. The space is cool 😎

Vibes are good outside in the sun & the viral matcha freddo with the foam is good, especially the foam, but quite sweet, so maybe ask for less sweet if you don't like your drinks too sweet. But we waited for it for like a good 20-30 minutes... wouldn't do that again... there's enough other good coffee shops in mtl IMO... ya sure you don't get a little foam pour show by a hot barista everywhere but like... 🤷🏼♀️
I'm new to the city & still exploring, but the drinks at this café have truly captured my taste buds! I stumbled upon it while searching for the best coffee shops in Montreal, & since it was in a neighborhood I hadn't visited yet, I thought, "Why not?" Little did I know that I would return for their Freddo Matcha, & then I discovered their specialty drink, the Greek Freddo Cappuccino, which I also loved & became my second favorite. Since it's not super close to me, I usually spend a few hours there working & enjoying my drinks. I get both drinks every time I am there & a fresh pastry on the side. Beyond the amazing drinks & pastries, the warm atmosphere really draws you in. The staff are incredibly friendly as well as the owners, remembering your name & favorite drink, making you feel like part of the community. I usually try every place once, maximum twice, & then move on to discover new spots, but I can't resist coming back here. The taste of their drinks is something I look forward to every time, & since I am still a bit homesick, this place makes me feel welcomed & at ease. They consistently deliver great quality & appreciate all their customers. Thank you, Alphabet!
le meilleur café à montréal! ça fait déjà un an que je vais au café alphabet, & je ne suis jamais déçue. les baristas sont toujours souriants & leurs cafés sont excellents. mention spécial au matcha freddo, c'est juste incroyable
Definitely my favourite place in Montreal. The atmosphere, the people, matcha is the best I ever tried, the way terrace is made, & the smell of basil which is growing out there. Every detail is such a pleasant. I'll go there once again before leaving & it will be my first place to come back as well
