You are invited to come and taste delicious maple products and enjoy a traditional sugar shack meal at the rustic and charming Handfield Sugar Shack, located in the heart of the Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu countryside. The sugar shack has three rooms, each with a wood-burning fireplace, accommodating families and groups of up to 350 people.
This jewel of the Richelieu Valley in the Montérégie region is built on a 42-acre maple grove with more than 2,000 maple trees tapped. In the center of the cabin, visitors can also observe the evaporator where the sap is transformed into syrup using the same old know-how.
In addition to the sugaring-off season, the Domaine Handfield Cabin opens its doors from September to February for unique private events. The four rooms built with barn wood and heated with wood can accommodate groups of up to 350 people. Whether it is for your wedding, anniversary, Oktoberfest, holiday party or any other private or corporate event, our unique decor and gourmet table will make your guests live a unique experience.

Une superbe expérience!!
On a eu une petite visite & explication de l'érablière avec le propriétaire & on a ensuite déguster une dizaine de plats différents tous aussi bons les uns que les autres! On a adoré l'authenticité de cette cabane à sucre! On l'a recommande à 1000% ❤?

Très bon moment en famille. C'était notre première expérience dans une cabane à sucre & nous sommes ravis. Le lieu est tout simplement magnifique, l'équipe est chaleureuse & la cuisine très bonne. Le repas est copieux & traditionnel. Merci à toute votre équipe pour ce super moment, le tout en musique grâce à votre talentueux accordéoniste !
I will start with the only positive comment. Their ham was on point as well as their maple syrup (you can't go wrong with that) other than that the rest was absolutely horrible. I have a sweet tooth & had high expectations on the desserts but their pancakes tasted like cardboard & their pudding chômer was so dry it seems they kept it in the fridge for a couple of days in order to not waste food. Don't get me started with the service. The lady who was taking care of us wasn't very helpful at all. She was literally rushing in the orders & we had a feeling that she wanted us to leave as quickly as possible. She even gave the paying machine to my colleague next to me while he was eating & conversing with us. I mean there was nobody in the cabane & there was no rush at all. Finally, I want to give the benefit of the doubt but while we were eating the desserts I did expect to have coffee served since I thought it was in the menu. But the hostess told us that we need to ask if we want. From what I recall at other Cabane à Sucre they would come & propose it no matter if you want or not. I don't like to write reviews like this but I still need to justify my experience so that other people will have the better picture of what the location is all about & who knows, they might see it & improve on it.

La meilleure cabane à sucre à Montréal! Vaut le détour & l'Equipe est super! Site magnifique, propre & produits succulent à emporter à la maison. Joueur d'accordéon talentueux & l'ambiance était digne d'une cabane à sucre traditionnelle . Bravo à l'Equipe Handfield !
