You are invited to come and taste delicious maple products and enjoy a traditional sugar shack meal at the rustic and charming Handfield Sugar Shack, located in the heart of the Saint-Marc-sur-Richelieu countryside. The sugar shack has three rooms, each with a wood-burning fireplace, accommodating families and groups of up to 350 people.
This jewel of the Richelieu Valley in the Montérégie region is built on a 42-acre maple grove with more than 2,000 maple trees tapped. In the center of the cabin, visitors can also observe the evaporator where the sap is transformed into syrup using the same old know-how.
In addition to the sugaring-off season, the Domaine Handfield Cabin opens its doors from September to February for unique private events. The four rooms built with barn wood and heated with wood can accommodate groups of up to 350 people. Whether it is for your wedding, anniversary, Oktoberfest, holiday party or any other private or corporate event, our unique decor and gourmet table will make your guests live a unique experience.

Nous étions un groupe & tous ont bien aimé, accueil chaleureux, ambiance sympathique & belle cabane typique, le point faible, lessaucisse & le ragoût de boulettes, pour le reste tout est excellent. Merci pour tout & au plaisir de se revoir. 8 ans plus tard & je suis très heureuse d'avoir retourné à plusieurs reprises. Tout est parfait l'ambiance, le service & la nourriture excellente.
Super expérience. Il y a longtemps que je n'avais pas apprécié une cabane à sucre comme celle-là! Très bonne nourriture, excellent service & super ambiance.

Une petite calèche vient vous chercher au bord du chemin & s'enfonce dans la forêt pour arriver après 3-4mn de trajet à une grande cabane pittoresque plantée au milieu de l'érablière.
Une belle découverte pour une expérience mémorable.
À l'intérieur, un grand feu de cheminée vient réchauffer une grande salle où règne une ambiance garantie par un accordéoniste talentueux autour d'une cuisine traditionnelle telle qu'on l'avait imaginée & un service des plus agréables, grâce notamment à Manon qui a été très disponible tout au long du repas, de bon conseil pour les boissons selon les goûts de chacun, un petit mot gentil à chaque dressage des nouveaux plats & tout ça avec un très large sourire & une grande sympathie.
Merci pour ce très bon moment passé dans ton rang & rendez-vous l'année prochaine..!!!!
Je dirai trop bruyant ne pouvant pas se parler. Les patates pas le fun, le repas tiède. Soupe & bean un peu croquants. Je n'ai pas l'habitude de critiquer mais l vraiment déçu! Le tracteur qui apporte les gens à la cabane. Très long. Enfin aucun retour là-bas pour noisy.
It's so much fun being here at this sugar shack! The atmosphere is lively & joyful, especially with the young servers who are very friendly & approachable.
The food is amazing & quite unique compared to other sugar shacks. I really enjoyed the experience of being in the forest & seeing how maple syrup is made-from the process of cooking it to pouring it over crushed ice.
The owner is also very welcoming, & my husband truly loves this place. Definitely a memorable experience!

Super endroit, avec une ambiance
authentique. On a été accueilli très chaleureusement, le service était rapide même parfois trop haha ça change des avis négatif qu'on a pu voir.
Point faible :
Dommage qu'on nous a pas précisé que la bière à l'érable était payante quand on nous l'a proposé & la soupe au pois vraiment fade.
Nous avons passé un très beau moment en famille! L'ambiance était chaleureuse, la nourriture délicieuse, le service attentionné, & que dire de la tire sur la neige! Un gros merci à toute l'équipe & à l'an prochain!

Superbe belle cabane! L'ambiance est vraiment festive & traditionnelle (musique & odeur de foyer au bois!) les employés sont souriants & chaleureux. J'ai aimé que le décor soit traditionnel & non pas commercial. Pour la nourriture, 100/10! Ça vaut le prix même si c'est un peu plus haut que d'autres endroits. C'est fait maison, frais & vraiment délicieux! Le pudding chômeur est vraiment très excellent !!

Absolutely wonderful place. Staff smiling & having a great time. Food is tremendous & plentiful. Jo-Anne & Robert, the third generation owners, are onsite making sure a good time is had by all. Highly recommended.

Je recommande fortement cette Cabane à Sucre pour la qualité de la nourriture, le service attentionné & l'ambiance chaleureux. Un tracteur vous amène du stationnement à la cabane, à l'intérieur il y a des foyers & un chansonnier talentueux pour y mettre l'ambiance.
Super ! Bien agréable la navette du stationnement à la cabane en tracteur.
Le service était bien , nous avons eux plusieurs « refill » de nos assiettes & des « doggy bag ». La nourriture était très bonne & bien cuit. Une ambiance avec de la musique folklorique québécoise & une style à l'ancienne. Merci pour l'agréable moment.
