Reviews of Cabane à Sucre Bouvrette describe a warm, family run atmosphere where the maple desserts and overall ambiance are praised, and some diners call the meals delicious with friendly service. Yet the experiences are mixed: several guests report excellent service and a pleasant visit, while others encounter slow service, limited staff for large groups, and meals arriving one by one, sometimes with no refills on coffee or dessert. The food ranges from flavorful and well liked to ordinary or fade, with some remarks noting simple fare that does not stand out. Activities for children are mentioned, though not consistently satisfying. All in all, the setting and maple offerings make the place worth a detour, but improvements in staffing, pacing, and menu execution could elevate the overall impression.
If you're going to this place, be careful! Guests are treated with utmost kindness here. This is a small area where every corner is made for your relaxation. There are separate pets, a railway with a train & crossing, a corner with swings for children & other surprises. We were most impressed by the fact that you feel surrounded by the culture of Quebec, the French language everywhere & delicious home-made food. Maple syrup on sticks was so yummy, we didn't want to stop))) In the restaurant, we were served by the waitress Sylvie, she was very attentive to us & we felt like part of a big friendly family. Sorry, I wrote a lot of letters, but this place deserves to be praised! Thanks to the whole team who organizes such a weekend! You are incredible guys!
Food was ok but not great. I was expecting to have any sort of dessert but nothing was served after our meal. We obviously had the maple sirop on ice but no other desserts. Not much to do for kids. When we went, the train was not operating. There was a mini farm & a few arcade games but that was about it. The service was great though, people who worked there were very friendly.
