I was here to witness Arsenal whoop Real Madrid. What more could I ask for?

We went for the high tea experience, we were three, told them une of us was a vegeterian. We all got the vegeterian plateau, & the food was dry, the Cinnamon bun was hard...not worth the Price.
Celebrated my bday last night at burgundy lion. Amazing staff amazing food & amazing drinks. My new favorite place in Montreal❤?
Everything was great, Staff were friendy & polite. Saw a Champions League Soccer game, greay Vibe
If you are looking for a private event space in montreal, this is the place to go. We had our engagement brunch there & everyone loved the space, the service was impeccable & accommodating.
Decided to organize a last minute boys night out with a few whisky enthousiaste friends on a Friday night.
We got a table on the third & last floor of the place. The decor & seat were comfortable. The place, pretty small & packed. You're surrounded by bottles behind locked cabinets & it was interesting to have a look around.
The whisky & scotch selection was very interesting. There were quite a few options we had never tried & some delicious ones. Since that was the main reason for our group going, we were quite pleased.
We went for a 19h reservation as a group of six adult male & I was surprised that we were surrounded by families with young loud children & that the music was so loud that we had a hard time hearing each other unless it was your neighbor right next to you or raised your voice quite a bit. Music was good but definitely didn't need to be that loud considering it's a place you expect people to be sitting & talking. Not dancing.
I had the burgundy burger & the food was blend other then some part of the patty tasted burned. My friend took all different choices, & none of them was raving about there plates. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. Considering that's not why we chose this place though, we didn't mind all that much.
Overall the service was good for a packed house, & the whisky sommelier helpful to help us create different flights to try. So we had a good time catching up & tasting some very interesting sample. If you're a whisky amateur, it's worth the visit.
J'adore ce resto de mon quartier, service ultra rapide, personnel sympatique
Food was excellent! Would love to see a good seasonal (sweet) pie on the dessert menu as your pie crust is beyond!!!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere but would lower the rock music a smidge so we can hear each other thx!!!
Deliciously fresh fish & chips-perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Not at all oily or soggy
Wonderful place for a large group (18 ppl) ! I reserved a table for a birthday party & the staff were great, we got great service which added to the good food & drinks. Only consideration is that the music got louder the longer we stayed which wasn't that bad because we were drinking & enjoying the 00's hits but it made talking a bit difficult. But overall a really good time !
They only let the lion out between may & october. Can pet it for added fee. Lion looks sick
Arsenal fans unite in mtl , exellent beer choice . Great pub, food meh but great place anyway
We went here for a 40th birthday party for 35-40 people & everything was perfect! Our waitress was fantastic! The food was great ! We had our own space that was absolutely beautiful! Totally coming back here !
Thank you for everything!
Summary: Awesome, Trivia Night is so worth it, & order the Lancashire Hot Pot if you LIKE bland English cuisine.
Gorgeous pub! It's 3 floors high & the ambiance is very nice. We went for Trivia Night Monday & our host was Sarah- super charismatic & overall challenging & fun questions! Our waitress was also very sweet & she tried to be as timely despite being a busy night. Food came quick after ordering.
My friends (x3) & I ordered: Gnocchi, Burger, Fish N' Chips, & the Hot Pot.
The gnocchi & burger were reported to be very delicious. The fish n' chips were kinda small for the price.
My hot pot… was Very Bland. Granted, I'm not English or White. But I encouraged my White friends (who happen to be of English descent) to try a few bites. Even they were saying it was bland- that's with me adding boatloads of salt & pepper too. The salad that comes with it is also some basic Italian (North American style) dressing & it's… just so meh for $32. Oh well!
We had a great time :) Will be returning to try other dishes & down a pint of Murphy's.
