Great time! The food's so yummy, we had the mac & cheese, fries & drinks, was delicious! Fun ambience, our waitress (Shayla i believe) gave us great service, the whole team is really friendly, can't wait to come back! :)

Food was great as always, service was awful. Ordered drinks didn't show up for 10ish min ordered them again to get them, had to ask for utensils, salt pepper etc. Server never checked on us. Ordered something off the menu & they waited 15 Minto tell us they didn't have it. Etc. Likely related to the challenges of covid & the fight for staff with a rapid ramp up.
Great service but the food quality was not what it used to be. Very average, each of our meals were either dry, overcooked or under seasoned. It's too bad, we used to love going there!
Made a reservation for the high tea brunch but wasn't on the menu on place. Very loud. Staff very confuse with the orders & didn't bring the basic stuff for the table like utensils. Had to ask for everything but it was very long to get them or ever. The food was good for the price i guess. I don't recommend.
I & Nancy had lunch at the Burgundy Lion on June 21. We enjoyed the food. Nancy & I were both born & brought up in Nova Scotia, so were pleased with the fishcakes. The shepherd's pie was also very good. The staff were very pleasant & helpful with suggestions. I mentioned to the staff that I had played bagpipes at the Burgundy Lion as a member of the organising committee of the Montreal Highland Games who had decided to hold a celebratory evening at the Burgundy Lion. I have been a member of the Highland Games committee for the forty plus years that they have been operating at Montreal.
Went here for the first time based on a recommendation & very glad we did! Coming from Toronto we wanted to try to support some local restaurants, especially during Covid times!
Wait staff & greeter were very friendly & the food tasted great, I had the Manchester Curry with Shrimp & my friend had the burger. The Sticky toffee pudding will not disappoint either!
I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the neighborhood!
Ever since we first went to the Burgundy Lion two years ago - a lunch while we discussed whether or not to make an offer on a fantastic condo a few blocks away - we've loved the place. This time, two days before the second lockdown of the year, the service was efficient & kind, the (comfort) food excellent & & the beer, a Boddington's cream ale, something new we tried because they 'd run out of Newcastle & (understandably) weren't getting a new keg right away, really good. I'll continue to order take-out & definitely, we'll be back once it reopens.
We thoroughly enjoyed the great Brit fare at Burgundy Lion, our first visit. Hopefully, we will return before too long. The place looks like & authentic British pub, warm & cozy. The food: we had brunch plates, eggs benedict for me & a corned beef with potatoes thingy for my wife. We added a Scotch egg for us to share, since that's how I found the BL on the web, searching for Scotch egg. Everything was as good as we could have expected, &, in truth, better yet. There were little touches in the preparation which said to me - we've got a gourmet chef back there! So, highest ratings for the food & the service was just as good. As a teacher (retired), I automatically tend to give a rating or mark to what's presented to me, & I hate to give extravagant, unrealistic scores, like 98 or 100 percent. How about a 99? We'll be back, Covid permitting!
