Le Burgundy Lion fait partie du paysage montréalais depuis 17 ans, & on comprend vite pourquoi. Dès qu'on entre, on ressent cette ambiance chaleureuse & vivante qui marie à merveille la tradition du pub britannique & le charme unique de Montréal.
La nourriture est toujours excellente - des plats réconfortants avec une touche moderne - & la sélection de boissons est impressionnante, que ce soit pour les bières, les whiskys ou les cocktails. Que ce soit pour un bon repas, un verre entre amis ou pour regarder un match, le personnel vous accueille toujours avec le sourire & fait en sorte que vous vous sentiez chez vous.
Ce qui distingue vraiment le Burgundy Lion, c'est son rôle de lieu de rassemblement. Depuis près de deux décennies, il réunit les gens pour célébrer, vibrer & partager de bons moments autour d'une table conviviale. A British style pub in the heart of Montreal's Little Burgundy neighborhood, with a various assortment of whiskeys & beers along with classic British dishes such as bangers & mash & a classic British Fish & Chips I highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed.

The gravy was not good. Super watery. Basically a puddle in the bottom of the dish.
Roast beef ....this is not roast beef. It was a few cubes of beef that may as well have been boiled. It was tough, flavorless, & grey. For the price they charge for this, it's terrible. Poutine is an easy thing to make & it's rare that you find one that's no good. They figured out how to make a very mediocre poutine & charge you a fortune for it.

Belle place physiquement. Toutefois, la cuisine n'est pas à la hauteur du prix payé qui était assez élevé (entrée à 18$ & repas à minimum 27$). Le macncheese manquait de saveur & était noyé dans la crème. Le curry végé était tout aussi décevant & manquait de saveur en plus d'être accompagné d'un pain naan commercial qu'on a même pas pris la peine de griller un peu. Les frites accompagnant le burger n'était pas assez cuite & était assez molles. Le service était assez lent & la 2e bière commandée a pris au moins 20 min avant d'arriver.
Bref, pour le prix payé ça ne vaut pas la peine.

I sat at the bar for an afternoon of beer & whiskey (because, why not?!). The server suggested the perfect local brew but the star of the place is the extensive whisk(e)y selection. Not just the heavy hitters (Scottish, Irish, Bourbon, etc.) but also a great selection of other countries. I had a whiskey from Mexico (I had no idea that Mexico produced whiskey). Loved the automatic addition of the eye dropper to add a little water if your whiskey choice is a little fiery. All the staff were fantastic & the vibe was fabulous. If you're in the neighborhood you need to pop in. Heck, if you live 100 km away you need to pop in!

Nous sommes allés juste avant un show de métal au théatre Beanfield juste à côté. Le service a été ultra rapide , en plus de tout le staff qui a été souriant & sympathique & qui assurait malgré le gros rush avant-show!

Wonderful experience. Really enjoy the meals & the restaurant. I specially drove to there to taste scotch egg, they made so delicious over my expectations. Also the salad, surprisingly tasty with the chicken added, all ingredients were so fresh, chicken grilled perfectly cooked with marinated . I was thinking of going back.
