It was absolutely sensational & reminded me of the last meal I enjoyed there a few weeks earlier, the Tikka Masala. This in turn reminded me of the'Big Salad' dish I had a few months earlier, also fantastic. I'm not sure if this place is known for its food, but it should be! The chefs & bartenders (especially Jessica) are incredible. It's no wonder why Burgundy Lion is always busy!
Proper elevated British style pub in MTL. If only the showed Rugby games!!!
Pub agréable pour boire une bière ou pour manger. Service impeccable.
Nice venue. Good service.
Linen & Silverware table service.
Good & interesting selection of pub fare & favourites. Good beverage selection.
Portions were sufficient. Something for every taste.
The best pub vibes in Montreal. The new menu is a big improvement. Adding some more shareable plates like nachos & vegetables & dip would be HUGE.
A British pub in Montreal with a warm & convivial environment. They have a classic menu & a great variety of drinks, with my favorite being their Pimm's.
Went here for a private event. It was a great space to host a party. They offer fantastic service & the food was delicious. Highly reccomend
I recently had a wonderful afternoon tea experience at Burgundy Lion. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to chat & enjoy some great treats, this is a fantastic choice.
The Atmosphere
We sat on the second floor, which is beautifully decorated like a greenhouse. With the glass roof & plenty of lush green leaves, the vibe was perfect for a long catch-up with friends. It felt bright, airy, & very cozy.
The Food & Drink
• Tea Service: Each person gets their own pot of tea, & the best part is that refills are free! The tea quality was excellent.
• Three-Tiered Tray: The presentation was lovely. We received three trays of pastries including:
• Top Tier: Macarons, canelés, & bite-sized chocolate treats.
• Middle Tier: Warm scones served with cream, jam, & butter.
• Bottom Tier: A variety of fresh finger sandwiches on different types of bread.
• Taste: Everything was very delicious & tasted fresh.
Value
The price was $60 per person, which included tax & required no extra tips. Given the quality of the food, the unlimited tea, & the beautiful setting, it felt like a very fair price for the experience.
Final Verdict: Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality afternoon tea with a unique greenhouse atmosphere!
Love the Lion - been coming here for a couple years now. Premier League games, pub trivia (shoutout to Brian), great whiskey, some forgotten beers - they got it all. The staff at the Lion are lovely people - kind, nice, & always willing to help.
Worst place ever, not sure how this place cuz I won't call it establishment still in business
Great food here. Absolutely loved the tikka wings & Burgundy burger. The sticky toffee dessert is also incredible.
Great weekend brunch amazing staff great food & atmosphere. The manager is really cool & understanding
The bartender who made the most amazing cocktails you'll ever taste in your life!Don't miss it!
Nous y sommes allés pour regarder un match de LDC comme nous étions en vacances à Montréal & hors de question de rater un match! Bonne ambiance, le personnel est sympathique & accueillant. De plus, nous avons très bien mangé. Je recommande!
