The service & atmosphere were really nice, & they offer an impressive selection of over 100 different whiskies along with some fabulous cocktails.
Unfortunately, the beer selection was limited & food were very very mediocre. We ordered the entrée mix platter, fries (which were soggy), & the sticky toffee pudding & all of them were disappointing.
Normalement, je n'aime pas les pubs & les clubs (les endroits bruyants en général), mais notre groupe était installé à l'écart. J'ai pu profiter de leur compagnie & de l'ambiance très agréable des lieux!

I'm a huge fan of the'bartender network.' After a drink elsewhere, we showed them our path back to'home' & they said... Try the Burgandy Lion. If I was here for more days I would come back just for the scotch & whiskey collection.
The staff have been amazingly snarky, sweet & fun. Honestly I feel like I found my people for at least a moment.
The Quebec, Cirka old fashion was great & I really wish I had a big enough liver to do 20 more with all the different options.
Fantastic experience at Burgundy Lion! The fish & chips were absolutely spot on crispy batter, flaky fish, & perfect chips. What really made the visit stand out, though, was our waitress. She was super fast, incredibly friendly, & didn't miss a beat. Easily one of the best English pub experiences I've had in a while. Highly recommended!!
This place is a classic. The food has definitely changed over the years, but you can't go wrong with a burger or fish & chips. Also the bangers & mash are so good. The staff is great too & the vibes are awesome.
Went there to watch the Soccer with my 9 year old.
The food, service & atmosphere were amazing. The nice cold beer was a because bonus too.

En entrée, un Scotch egg parfaitement croustillant, bien assaisonné, servi avec une sauce riche & savoureuse - un vrai coup de coeur.
En plat principal, un pâté en croûte feuilletée doré à la perfection, avec une sauce crémeuse onctueuse & des légumes bien cuits. Réconfortant, généreux & plein de saveurs.
Service agréable, présentation soignée & qualité au rendez-vous. Une belle découverte pour les amateurs de cuisine britannique traditionnelle revisitée. J'y retourne sans hésiter ! 🍻🇬🇧
Très déçus de notre expérience, il faisait extrêmement froid à l'intérieur. Deux chaufferettes étaient disponibles & aucune n'a jamais été allumée, malgré plusieurs demandes au personnel.
Nous avons aussi demandé à plusieurs reprises d'être placés sur les banquettes au fond, plus confortables & à l'abri du froid. Refus sous prétexte que nous étions un groupe de 4 & que ce n'était'pas assez'. Pourtant, au moins trois autres groupes de 4 ont été installés à ces mêmes places pendant notre présence sans réservation. En plus de l'inconfort, le service était lent & froid, ce qui n'a rien arrangé à l'expérience globale. Bref, ambiance froide au sens propre comme au figuré.
I'm sure this place is great, however on their site it is promoted as opening at 9am to show the full slate of premier league games. Unfortunately we arrived at 9am & were turned away. I suggest removing that from your page. We did also call twice in advance to no answer.
I was recently at a trivia event (Quiz Master Brian) & ordered the Croque Madame afterwards. It was absolutely sensational & reminded me of the last meal I enjoyed there a few weeks earlier, the Tikka Masala. This in turn reminded me of the'Big Salad' dish I had a few months earlier, also fantastic. I'm not sure if this place is known for its food, but it should be! The chefs & bartenders (especially Jessica) are incredible. It's no wonder why Burgundy Lion is always busy!
A British pub in Montreal with a warm & convivial environment. They have a classic menu & a great variety of drinks, with my favorite being their Pimm's.
