There is a reason why The Lion is shoulder to shoulder during sporting events. Even threw the quiet times i,d much rather travel out of my way to enjoy a'Couple' of Guinness & a meal.God help my bank account if I rent an apartment near by!(lol)

First time to burgundy lion, we had great service, the waitress was very nice & very helpful. The drinks & food came quickly.

However…… the food was so salty (we had fish & chips, curry & the burger ) & the curry was inedible , the salt overpowered everything. The fish & chips portions were so small they should rename it to fish sticks & chips. The fish had half decent flavour but for the price we should have definitely gotten another piece as it is not given away. The portion of fries was very small as well.

Très bon, goûteux, bien cuit avec une belle ambiance pour les matchs de football de la FIFA ! Seul bémol, la serveuse avait oublié de passer la commande à la cuisine.

rude manager after ordering beer & have half of the glass he comes & throw us out me with wife & son who is die hard harry kane fan he said whole restaurant is reserved i asked why you let us in? he said thats the way it is & he raised his voice he is just big bully & capacity of this bar is 300 hundred & during game was over 500 people if there is fire will be a disaster!

Came here for a world cup game & was not disappointed! The manager was great & the hostess was awesome as well. Made reservations in advance & got to sit right in front of the screen for Argentina & Cape Verde. Food was amazing as well. Waitress was very sweet but aloof. Would absolutely come here again when I'm in town!

Two visits, two separate incidents of staff being flat-out dismissive & racist when I asked simple questions.

**Visit 1:** Had a reservation to watch a FIFA match. Host claimed there was no record of it & stuck me at a walk-in table. Said everything else was booked by large groups - meanwhile new guests kept walking in with no reservation check at all. 30 minutes later he mentioned a couple of tables had opened up, but when I asked to see them he said'let me check if they're still available' & just... never came back. We left at halftime.

**Visit 2:** Ordered wine under the'5@7' promo. Asked the waitress to confirm the time on our order so we'd get the right price - she wasn't sure, so she got the manager. Instead of answering the question, he told me'I feel you're very frustrated' (I wasn't) & then claimed the promo is weekdays-only, which is posted nowhere. When I said that should probably be written somewhere, he asked'is my English too fast for you?' Completely uncalled for. We cancelled our order & walked out.

Our waitress was genuinely nice & didn't even know the promo restriction herself - so this isn't on the staff who deal with customers directly, it's a management problem.
Great spot on paper, but if you ask a straightforward question here, expect attitude instead of an answer. Not going back.
