Fantastic experience at Burgundy Lion! The fish & chips were absolutely spot on crispy batter, flaky fish, & perfect chips. What really made the visit stand out, though, was our waitress. She was super fast, incredibly friendly, & didn't miss a beat. Easily one of the best English pub experiences I've had in a while. Highly recommended!!

The Atmosphere
We sat on the second floor, which is beautifully decorated like a greenhouse. With the glass roof & plenty of lush green leaves, the vibe was perfect for a long catch-up with friends. It felt bright, airy, & very cozy.
The Food & Drink
• Tea Service: Each person gets their own pot of tea, & the best part is that refills are free! The tea quality was excellent.
• Three-Tiered Tray: The presentation was lovely. We received three trays of pastries including:
• Top Tier: Macarons, canelés, & bite-sized chocolate treats.
• Middle Tier: Warm scones served with cream, jam, & butter.
• Bottom Tier: A variety of fresh finger sandwiches on different types of bread.
• Taste: Everything was very delicious & tasted fresh.
Value
The price was $60 per person, which included tax & required no extra tips. Given the quality of the food, the unlimited tea, & the beautiful setting, it felt like a very fair price for the experience.
Final Verdict: Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality afternoon tea with a unique greenhouse atmosphere!

Nous y sommes allés pour regarder un match de LDC comme nous étions en vacances à Montréal & hors de question de rater un match! Bonne ambiance, le personnel est sympathique & accueillant. De plus, nous avons très bien mangé. Je recommande!
A British style pub in the heart of Montreal's Little Burgundy neighborhood, with a various assortment of whiskeys & beers along with classic British dishes such as bangers & mash & a classic British Fish & Chips I highly recommend this place you won't be disappointed.
Very bad service overall. The staff were unprofessional & extremely rude, making the experience unpleasant from start to finish. Definitely not recommended.

We hosted a birthday party there (50 people) & everyone loved the place!! They have a beautiful private space. The food was great & the staff is friendly. I got the mac & cheese & it was so good! Would definitely recommend Burgundy Lion!

I hosted my best friends Bridal Shower/Tea here & it was such a lovely experience! From planning with Nancy via email, the flexibility to come set up ahead of time, the quick replies, to the actual event coming together SO well, I couldn't be more happy! I absolutely recommend their high tea option for anyone who wants to have a stunning atmosphere & quality service for an event!
I had an amazing experience at burgundy lion & a big part of that was thanks to Tony. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly attentive, kind, & knowledgeable. They made sure we had everything we needed, checked in at just the right moments, & even took the time to recommend some fantastic drinks based on our preferences. Their expertise in cocktails & spirits was impressive, & they clearly have a deep passion for what they do. Beyond their professionalism, they created a warm & welcoming atmosphere, making us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. It's rare to find someone who combines great service with such genuine kindness. If you're looking for a place with exceptional service & a truly great team, this is it. I'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!
When I visited Burgundy Lion 2 years ago, I came out of there very happy & satisfied. Not so much this time, a week ago. The food was just ok. I ordered the Fish'n Chip, ans in my plate there was not a french fry longer than 1 inch. In other words, the fries were only small bits of very dark fries. Very disappointing. Then for dessert, I was looking forward to have their famous Sticky pudding. The portion was the size of a deck of cards, there was no syrup around it, very dry, & the $3 scoop of ice cream I ordered with it was the size of a golf ball, & I'm generous. Again, very disappointing. This was my last time at Burgundy Lion, & I don't think I will recommend it to my friends & collegues.

I reserved the atrium to host a celebration of life for my mother. Nancy was wonderful to work with. There were no hiccups or issues with anything. Sabrina, our host, was excellent. The A/V worked out perfectly for our slide show. The food was delicious & plentiful. I ordered savory & sweet apps plus mains for our group. The drink selection was excellent. I highly recommend the Burgandy Lion.
I 100% recommend. The food waa really good, the waiters were really nice, & the service was quite rapid. My only complaint is the price of cocktails is quite high, but otherwise it was an amazing dinner. I definitely recommend going here for dinner.

Très bel endroit charmant, situé dans le sud ouest du centre-ville de Montréal & de Griffintown près du canal Lachine. Nous avions profité de la terrasse en pleine journée pour, la serveuse Olivia a su nous offrir un service amical & personnalisé hors-pair. La bouffe est excellente : ma petite amie a goûté à l'agneau pour la première fois & elle a adoré. Quant à moi, le steak frite est excellent & bien saignant. Excellent rapport qualité prix ! Je recommande cet endroit chaleureux & convivial!
