Went here for dinner & was looking for a yummy burger, this place didn't disappoint & I was very happy. Plenty of options & you can choose what burger patty you'd like. The suprise hit was the poutine, the best one I've had so far. Cocktails were good & nice atmosphere, will be back for more.
First time: The decor is cute & staff were nice. The souvlaki gyro sandwich is delish. pretty good poutine & hot chocolate
Second time : I had the mama mia. It wasn't Italian (just had arugula & breaded & fried orange sliced cheese) so I was thrown off by that but it was still alright. The waiter came by to ask me how I found things & I gave him my feedback but it's apparently a top pick amongst customers so I said they shouldn't change it just for the people who aren't big fans. Also the waitress who seated me & took my order was a bit rude & impatient so I told him about that too & he thanked me for the feedback politely which made it less stressful. It's fine, I'll still be back to try the other menu items. The fries were so good this time
Third time: I had the faux salmon burger & fries & my friend had a strawberry mocktail. The food was delicious & the environment is really pleasant at the seats near the window in the afternoon. I honestly have no idea what I was eating but it tasted kind of like fish & looked exactly like cooked salmon. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly. I usually get stomach ache from mushrooms if they're not cooked properly & I didn't get one , yay 😅
Fourth time: I got the burger with mushrooms, truffle, onion rings, arugula & impossible patty. It was seriously delicious! I also had a refreshing pineapple mocktail. My friend had a mint mocktail & the same burger & really liked it & they made it on a special grill for him to accommodate his allergies. The music was fun :) I like the fries but I think they can be improved. They taste a bit too overcooked & salty

Kimchi fries are really flavorful as expected & the burger has a really nice taste too.
The only minor thing I personally felt was that it was a little greasy for my taste. Both, patty in the burger & fries. But as I said the test was really nice & so was the atmosphere & service.
Burger Fiance was one of the restaurants' my sister & I went to in our last few days in Montreal, & good god those were delicious burgers. There were so many varities of burgers, I was also told that their house patty was extremely flavourful, there were also a lot of alternatives for those with dietary restrictions (gluten free bun, lettuce wraps), its very hard finding genuinely good vegan places, so it is definitly somewhere I'd return. We just wanted to give a shoutout to the server (beard & glasses) & the cook from that night, for working so hard & diligently. That night, it was just that server & the cook & it was clear that they were understaffed for the night. The server did a fantastic job juggling between taking orders, cleaning, serving & cashing out. Despite the chaos he still managed to stay calm, & worked as efficiently as possible, & we applaud him for that. Genuinely can't thank that man enough, cause if that was me I would start crying lol.
The Burger Fiancé is an exceptional vegan burger (I tried it with the Impossible patty), would highly recommend!!! Very messy to eat because it has so many things in it, but definitely worth it! Juicy & delicious!
Shared the house patty fiancé burger & the upgraded kimchi fries with my husband & it was the perfect amount of food for lunch. Burger was one of the tastiest veggie patties I've had. With the "bacon & cheese" it reminded me of steak & shake burgers. This was my first kimchi fries experience. The pickled veggies added so much flavor & somehow didn't make the fries all soggy. Really great & affordable vegan diner.

The vegan poutine was very good.. it had a nice tangy spiciness to it. The burger was a miss for me. I tried the truffle burger & there just wasn't very much flavor there. I removed the bottom bun & that helped. I think the Impossible patty would have been a huge improvement over the house patty. I'd like to try it again this way. I wish I could have ordered a side salad, but apparently, you can only get a smaller side as part of the meal. A full sized salad (or poutine) would have been too much food, & wasted.
Vegan poutine was so good & tasted just like regular poutine. Had the cheeseburger with the house patty & was also really good, tasted like a smash burger. Onion rings were very tasty. My husband got the gyro & he really enjoyed it as well. Definitely would come back!
Best vegan food I've had. The "pulled pork" is divine. I also loved their Truffle burger with the house patty. Forgot to take pics of the food because I ate it immediately.
Loved this place! Truffle burger was super tasty & had a great mix of textures with the onion ring & sauces. I'm glad we opted for the house patty. It had a really nice texture & flavor & was not dry at all. The poutine fiancé was huge, hearty, & full of flavor, with juicy & crispy seitan. The unexpected star of our dinner was the kale caesar salad. Nicely massaged kale, covered with a blend of "bacon" bits & capers. We were scraping the bowl! The berry & pistachio shake was also really good. We didn't catch our young server's name, but she was great & answered all our questions on quebeçois culture, too!

Marry me, Burger Fiancé! Love that there is a dedicated vegan spot close to Old Montreal that brings out the comfort food love in all of us. Burgers here are massive & use an in-house patty or you can sub for impossible meat for an additional charge. I had to try their Spicy Chick-en Sandwich ($21) which uses cajun shiitake mushroom for its burger, along with vegan ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, & maple syrup. The burger was fire but definitely a lot to consume even in just one sitting. The waffle fries included were a great touch as well. The decor inside was super cute. If it wasn't so busy during lunch, I would have considered eating inside while the food was still fresh. So while the prices are definitely higher than I'd like them, I can't deny that the quality is there & absolutely a smashing burger option.
I'm vegan, so of course I'll come back here, but I came here twice this week & things were off. 1. Ordered the Chezburger with side salad. I wasn't given the option for a party so I went to the counter to confirm I'm having the house patty, not the impossible patty, only to be told they're out of house patties 2. I canceled the burger & ordered the fiancé salad. It was missing arugula, chick peas, green onions, sesame seeds & something else. So basically a $16 dollar bowl of lettuce 3. My salad arrived before the fork. Why? 4. Came back for the Banana Sunday, but there's no banana, no whip, & no strawberry sauce. Server made a comment about lack of cutlery as we waited for spoons When a place is 86'd important items, it's an indicator that it's going to close. I hope Burger Fiancé orders the missing food inventory & buys some more cutlery.
Ordered a take out! 1) ordered a basic cheez burger. The patty wasn't bad, but there was almost no sauce in my burger, just a tiny smear on the bun & that's it. The burger had an average patty, scant sauce, one slice of tomato & a small piece of lettuce. $18 for that? 2) it was a take out, there were no napkins. She asked if we wanted utensils. 3) their kimchi waffle fries were cold. Not worth it!
I usually don't write reviews but Burger Fiancé was phenomenal. Specifically, the Old School Burger was perfection, & the house vegan patty was the best I've ever had. The waffle fries were well-seasoned & crisp, which was a pleasant surprise as these are quite difficult to get right. I've tried many vegan burger places in many cities & this is easily my favorite.

Super adorable place. They make their own burger patty & the gluten free bread was delicious. Poutine app was HUGE & so full of flavor. I wish we had food this good in Vermont. Also 5 star milkshakes. Definitely coming back again :)
As a non-vegetarian with a vegetarian child, they were very excited about this place & I was expecting an impossible burger on a bun. Boy was I wrong! This was possibly the best burger vegan or not I've ever had! I got the Momma Mia burger & the breaded patty in it was AMAZING Seriously, give this place a try! YUM!!
My favourite restaurant in the city!! We take all our friends here & always get the kimchi fries. We got the soul mate burger once it was good but soggy patty. Also everything is vegan!
