Reviews sketch Bun Mam Ninh Kieu as a neighborhood gem offering hearty, comfort Vietnamese and Southeast Asian dishes at reasonable prices, with large portions and fast, friendly service. The pho, especially the house special, is noted for depth and generous protein, though a few reviews mention occasional underseasoning that can be corrected with a touch of salt. Banh Mi and lemongrass beef bao are frequent favorites, along with other items like Bun Xeo and Bun Mam, praised for crisp textures, flavorful sauces, and menu variety beyond the usual soups. The Mi Lakay noodle soup is recommended for delivery, and strong coffee and vegetarian options also get good mentions. The setting is described as cozy and clean, with attentive staff and a welcoming, no fuss vibe that suits solo meals or larger groups. Some praise calls it one of the best authentic Vietnamese spots in Canada and a reliable go to. A minority report inconsistencies or smaller portions for the price and occasional flavor gaps, but overall the place is seen as versatile and satisfying for casual meals.
The service was amazing. The staff were really kind & explained the menu to us. The Pho & the bahn mi were all really delicious. The star of the show was the Vietnamese Coffee. We had two at dinner & came back the next day for more coffee to go, it was amazing! Highly recommend this place
Great service & good prices for big portions! I really enjoyed the specialty pho, it was generous & I could tell a lot of care went into the preparation. My only comment is that it was a bit underseasoned. I took my leftovers home, added some salt & it was absolutely perfect.

I you're ordering for delivery, I recommend the Mi Lakay noodle soup. The broth has depth & flavor. The noodles & the topping ingredients were good too at this price point.
I ordered food through Uber Eats today, & the experience was extremely disappointing. When the food arrived, the paper bag was torn & the soup had spilled everywhere.
What upset me even more was that the dish was completely different from what I usually eat at the restaurant. The pork was not roasted pork as described, but tasted like it was poorly deep-fried in oil. The flavor was terrible & very unpleasant.
Overall, today's experience was really bad, both in terms of packaging & food quality. I will not be ordering from this place again.
Serveur sympathique. Prix raisonnable.
i've tried many vietnamese restaurants in montreal as a vietnamese person myself, & i have to say this place feels like home. environment wise & down to the food as well. definitely going to return!
Tasty pho (flavorful), good fried eggrolls & sauce, strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Server was kind & funny. Food came out quickly. Restaurant was clean. Would eat here again.
Straightforward Vietnamese & south east Asian fare served fast without much fanfare. A welcoming joint for a quick or more elaborate meal. We were a large group of 6 adults & a toddler. They were very helpful & took good care of us.
