Located in the heart of Plateau Mont Royal, Bun Mam Ninh Kieu offers a large variety of vietnamese dishes.
The Banh Xeo (egg crepe with shrimp & bacon) was crispy & taste delicious when dipped into the fish sauce.
Grilled pork Bum Bao was my fav. The pork was grilled to perfection.
The Bun Bo Hue was ok, but acceptable.
2025 dine in: the grilled beef in betel leaves were delicious. The Singapore noodles that my friend got were well seasoned but she didn't enjoy the dish overall. The BBQ beef Bao buns had no flavour. Service was friendly & efficient. BYOW helps. Aquariums help the otherwise stark black & white decor. 2023 delivery: Banh Kot was alright, basically eggy cakes with a shrimp on top, very filling. Ban tom Ninh kieu was all oil & no taste. Bao thit ko was typical. Bao Xeo was basically an onion omelette, very filling. Lemongrass short ribs were okay. Shrimp were not seasoned in any dish, pretty disappointing overall. Packaging was all styrofoam (not recyclable here)
Very easy going spot, stepped in for a quick bite & was not disappointed. Bao, banh mi & the pho were fresh & brought out in generous portions. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was also delicious
Best pho in town at this no-nonsense & authentic Vietnamese restaurant on the Plateau. The raw beef pho tay stands out because of a fragrant broth; good quality beef; Al dente noodles & five alarm fire chile oil. Run by a mother & her two sons, this place has a homey vibe (aquariums & a television perpetually turned on). Equally impressive are the spicy papaya salad & the bao, or steamed buns. This has become my go-to neighborhood restaurant & I'm never disappointed.
J'ai pris une soupe pho & un bao bun, tout était délicieux. J'ai hâte d'y retourner!
Perfect broth, fresh ingredients, quality service. Bao Buns were pretty tasty. Great place to eat! Will come again.
I ordered the vegan bao which had tofu inside with veggies. One order came with 2 baos. I did not know, so I ordered 2 & ended up with 4 baos. It was delicious.
