The Holder brothers welcome you to their beautiful Brasserie Bernard for a pleasant evening or a friendly lunch. This place has become a classic on Bernard Street in the beautiful Outremont district; the neighbourhood’s charm contributes greatly to the charm of the restaurant. Try their fine but unpretentious European cuisine, in a warm, elegant and vibrant atmosphere
Overall Brasserie Bernard earns praise for its warm Parisian brasserie vibe, comfortable and spacious setting, attentive and friendly service, and a varied menu that delivers well executed classics such as moules frites, onion soup, ravioli, duck confit and steak frites, with desserts like pavlova and pudding chomeur also mentioned; the ambiance and wine list are frequently highlighted and the place is described as lively yet suitable for couples, groups or special occasions, though a few reviews note noise levels and occasional slower service when busy and a few dishes that lack salt balance or are priced high for the portion; many guests say they would return, recommend Brasserie Bernard, and consider it a top French bistro experience in Montreal
Recommandé chaudement.

I totally enjoy my meal at the Brasserie Bernard which is located at the former Les Moulerie restaurant location.
They actually had some mussels & fries offer on the menu as a reminder of the former Moulerie restaurant. WOW! I had the best moules marinières in my life - fatty from Prince Édouard Island. & the serving bowl of mussels was huge. Fries were OK.
We drank a really good burgundy wine to go along all my friends' plates.
Everything was 100% except for the fact that we were sitting way to close to the table on both sides of my wife & I . I could reach over & take a french fry. Besides that it was great.

Belle découverte, les tagliatelles au canard effiloché, à reprendre. J'ai trouvé la salle plus bruyante que d'habitude, il y avait peut-être plus de clients.
This was our first time at Brasserie Bernard. It was a great experience overall. The ambiance is very pleasant & the restaurant is roomy so very comfortable for a couple or a larger group. We were there when it was full & we had no problem having a conversation. The service was very friendly & attentive with many people serving you throughout out the night. Finally the food was excellent (the fried calamari & onion soup were great as well as our steaks. A friend said it was one of the best cheeseburgers she ever had). The desserts were lovely (pudding chomeur & lemon tart).
It was a nice restaurant with great service, they spoke French but also spoke English! The food was great, between all of us, we got to try many of the dishes which were all great as well! Loved it. Thank you Brasserie Bernard!!
