Excellent service & amazing food!
I've only ever had the cavatelli's from Brama through delivery before this dine-in experience & it was so good I couldn't even imagine how it would taste fresh at the table. They really did not disappoint.
I spent about $275 for two people but I also paid for all the appetizers for 4 people & a drink.
Cavolo Riccio salad (Beets, goat cheese & apple in a kale salad): it was delicious & creamy but a little bit too sweet for me since I wanted something more refreshing. I was mind blown though because this salad tasted exactly like a CREAMSICLE.
Arancini: the sauce was good, everything had great texture, it wasn't dry, very cheese & fluffy. My friends loved it.
Octopus: very delicious, slightly tangy & sweet. The texture was perfect & I like the little pieces of potatoes in there.
Lamb chops: WOW. It was the star of the show. Comes with 3 pieces but you can add another piece for $9. The sauce was refreshing- minty I think, the lamb itself was seasoned to perfection, it wasn't too gamey, so tender & juicy. I would be happy just eating that all night.
Linguini seafood pasta: pasta was cooked just right, seafood was tender & the sauce was very light, very light on the salt & easy to eat. Delicious!
Bolognese Spaghettoni: the texture of this pasta was phenomenal. I love the bite it has, the sauce was delicious but very salty. I love salty foods so it was perfect for me but might be hard for the average Joe to eat.
Fettuccini Rosée: I normally do not get a plain rosée pasta since it's easy to make & seem so simple but WOW I regret not getting that myself. It was so good, flavours were perfectly balanced & I love the pasta shape.
Gnocchi Pancetta: I wasn't too wowed by this but maybe because the gnocchi was so soft & pillowy I was very surprised! I think it was a texture thing for me but I'm sure making gnocchi that soft must take a lot of skills so I would recommend it if you like soft gnocchi/foods!
We were a party of 4, 4 different nationalities; Brazilian, French from France, French from Québec & an Italian. Pièce de résistance was their food (calamari, gnocchi, ceasar salad, Margherita pizza & linguini), staff service & establishment. A win win restaurant for typical homemade Italian to soothe the soul. Keep up the amazing work!
Définitivement un des meilleurs restaurants Italiens en ville! À 5, on s'est séparé plusieurs entrées (burrata, polpettes, aranchini, pieuvre, calmars frits, salade césar), puis les cavatellis, les gnocchis & la pizza mortadolce. Tout était succulent! J'enlève une étoile pour le service (ne venait pas nous voir souvent, long avant d'avoir de l'eau, un drink oublié). On a tout de même adoré notre soirée. 😊
Last night, we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful meal with friends at Brama. While it was their first visit, we had dined there several times before. The stakes were high, as all of our friends are Italian (unlike my husband & I), & their opinion of a restaurant representing their native cuisine mattered greatly. We were a group of four couples.
We began with the calamari, which was light & crispy, served with a flavorful tarragon mayo. While we thoroughly enjoyed it, the portion felt a bit small for the price. The other three couples opted for the octopus salad, beautifully presented with fresh, delicious ingredients. It was a definite crowd-pleaser.
For the main courses, our group enjoyed a variety of pizzas & pastas, all of which were delicious. We ordered the Quattro Pizza, which surprisingly featured a blend of six cheeses, caramelized onions, & arugula. Although I typically don't enjoy salad on pizza-& didn't notice this ingredient listed on the menu-it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The soft, airy dough with just the right amount of crispness was outstanding, especially paired with the hot honey on the side.
We also shared the ricotta cavatelli with beef cheeks, mushrooms, truffle sauce, & fior di latte-something our friends also ordered. This dish is truly a staple at Brama & an absolute winner. The melding of flavors was mouthwatering & not to be missed.
Another couple enjoyed the cavatelli with spicy sausage & raved about it as well. Additional dishes included a variety of pizzas-Soppressata, Mortadolce, & Salsiccia-a carnivore's dream that our group found flavorful & satisfying.
We toasted the evening with a Ripasso & a Chianti wine, along with Italian Birra Moretti, Heineken, & Sol beers.
Dessert featured carrot cake, hazelnut cheesecake, & a mixed berry gelato. All were enjoyable; however, the carrot cake-normally a favorite of mine-fell a bit short. It was slightly dry & lacked flavor, with minimal icing.
Overall, it was a lovely conclusion to a meal that satisfied our palates & made me proud of my restaurant choice. My Italian friends were genuinely impressed & confirmed they would definitely return.
A special mention goes to Courtney, our energetic & engaging server, who was friendly, professional, & knowledgeable, offering thoughtful details on every dish.
As always, John, the master chef, delivered a stellar experience that truly impressed our Italian guests.
The vibrant staff, inviting atmosphere, & exceptional food combined to create a memorable evening we won't soon forget.

A hidden gem! We were a group of seven. Everything from the appetizers to the mains & the desserts were absolutely delicious. If you're a group, I highly recommend ordering a few appetizers, salads & meals (what we did) to share because everything on the menu is incredible. Service was also fantastic & friendly. Will definitely be going back! There were large groups of 20+ that were loud so it was a little difficult to hear, but not the restaurant's fault! I still give 5 stars across the board for this place!!!
My second visit to Brama was just as good as the first! This time we ate the ribeye cooked medium rare & perfectly seasoned, the mac alla Gigi & a Caesar salad. It was 10/10 delicious, I can't recommend this place enough if you're in the area
I do not remember the last time I wrote a review for a restaurant . Went to dinner with my wife at Brama. One of our friends recommended it.
Being of Italian descent, I don't often eat at Italian restaurants & often times get disappointed.
Started with grilled octopus & kale salad.
Probably the best grilled octopus I ever had. Kale salad was perfectly balanced. Both portions were very generous.
Then we ordered the mac alla Gigi pasta & grilled salmon.
Hands down one of the best grilled salmon dishes I have eaten . The pasta was outstanding.
All the food was served hot & ingredients extremely fresh. Price point very reasonable in today's market for the quality of food received.
Thank you to John for the incredible culinary experience. Complimenti to you & your staff .

Hallucinant la qualité & les saveurs de leur menu. Imbattable sur toute la ligne. Mac & cheese de luxe! Pizza, sandwich & salades toutes incroyables! Quel chef ce John Hana!
First & foremost, this restaurant is a true gem. Do not let yourself be dissuaded by the neighbourhood. Amidst an industrial wasteland, you step inside & are immediately enchanted by the warm lighting, the inviting aromas, & the smiling, welcoming staff. It was our first visit, & we were served by Jessica, who was wonderful, personable, & exceptionally gracious.
We started with the Cavolo Riccio - a beet & kale salad - & it was the best salad I have ever had. Not a fan of kale? Think again. I would gladly eat this for breakfast, lunch, & dinner, seven days a week.
We then moved on to the pizzas, both of which were excellent. We tried the Funghi & the Carnivora, & each was perfectly cooked, flavorful, & satisfying. They were served with two sides of bomba: a classic version & a second, sweetened with a hint of honey - both delicious.
Everything was simply outstanding.
We will definitely be returning to this wonderful establishment.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Brama!
From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The burrata was bursting with flavour & served with perfectly grilled, seasoned baguette slices-truly a standout. The radicchio salad was unbelievable, & the cavatelli? To die for.
Service was outstanding-our waitress was warm & attentive, & we were lucky enough to meet the chef, who not only came out to chat with us but also generously treated us to two incredible desserts.
The tiramisu was easily one of the best I've ever had, but the pistachio cheesecake was next level. Light, perfectly baked, topped with fresh cream & a hint of orange blossom-this dessert changed my life.
I can't wait to go back. 100/100! Highly recommend!
You can't go wrong with a meal at Brama. Whether it's for pizza, pasta, or salads, you're in for a treat. The food is well seasoned, delicious, & well-portioned. The service is professional yet warm & welcoming. & the ambiance works just as well for a weekday as it does for a weekend visit. You'll feel like you're sitting in a lush, modern courtyard - & why wouldn't you want to enjoy a delicious meal in that setting?
It's excellent , the best Italian food in MTL. The rib eye is delicious & I highly recommend the octopus, Cesar salad , salmon tartare. My go to restaurant & Im never disappointed!
Un trésor caché à Montréal : Brama Pour la deuxième année consécutive, notre équipe a choisi le restaurant Brama pour célébrer notre souper de Noël, & encore une fois, c'était l'endroit parfait! L'expérience culinaire est tout simplement inégalable. Ce restaurant italien excelle dans chaque plat. Nous avons commencé avec une incroyable salade de betterave, suivie d'une salade César & du meilleur tartare de saumon que j'aie jamais mangé. Les arancinis étaient divins, tout comme les polpettes. Pour les plats principaux, les pâtes étaient spectaculaires. Nous avons dégusté des cavatellis & le fameux Mac GiGi, & chaque bouchée était un pur délice. Les pizzas Américaine & Margarita ont également été un gros coup de coeur. Le service a ajouté à la magie de la soirée. Georges & Jessie, nos serveurs, étaient attentifs & chaleureux. Quant à Elio, notre barman, il a su concocter des cocktails parfaitement adaptés à nos goûts & a même pris le temps de capturer une photo de groupe mémorable. Le décor de Brama est enchanteur : à la fois cozy & romantique, il crée une ambiance parfaite pour toutes les occasions. & que dire de l'ambiance musicale? Elle a charmé toute notre équipe. Je recommande sans hésiter ce joyau bien caché de Montréal. Merci, Brama, pour une soirée inoubliable!
The Best Italian Restaurant in Montreal! My wife & I absolutely love this place. They have the best Caesar salad & pizza in town! The staff are always friendly & efficient, making every visit a comfortable & enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

I cannot put into words how spectacularly outstanding this place is in every conceivable respect. Everything I am about to say doesn't even scratch the surface of what you can expect from this place. My girlfriend & I have gone 3 times in just the last 7 days because we have been positively floored by absolutely everything we have had. At this point we're just going down the menu & are continuously getting baffled by how exceptional every new dish we try from this place is. There is truly no restaurant I have ever tried that exudes such passion & love for delicious food of the utmost quality as Brama. Every dish is made fresh, in house with sourced ingredients of the utmost quality imported directly from Italy. The pizzas are absolutely to die for made on fresh homemade pizza dough the Italian way as God intended. The pastas are all freshly made in house from scratch & lord have mercy can you taste it. The noodles are always perfectly aldente, the gnocchi are fluffy pillows of pure ecstasy, the radicchio salad still has me & my girlfriend fantasizing about it, & the homemade pistachio cheesecake is just inexplicably exceptional. Even the coffee is among the best you'll have. John & the team take everything you love about Italian cuisine & do it leagues better than what should be humanly possible. Though the food is worthy of a master's thesis in Italian culinary perfection unto itself, I cannot post this review without highlighting with the utmost gratitude & respect the absolutely outstanding staff & consequent service you will get here. Everybody who works at Brama is exceptionally kind, respectful, professional, provides fast service & clearly has passion for the restaurant they work for. I have never seen anything like it. You've really outdone yourself John. Though we only met you this week, you will always have our support. Keep doing what you're doing & never lose that passion. The world needs more chefs like you.
The best hidden gem in the neighborhood! Everything we tried was absolutely amazing & everyone there was so friendly. We started with the beet salad which was delicious & had a very unique mix of flavors! We also shared the Cavatelli pasta & salsiccia pizza & we highly recommend them For dessert, their pistacchio cheesecake is a must try Will definitely be going regularily from now on!!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The Burrata was a beautiful appetizer to share with my partner. The Burrata was fresh & the salad that came with it was delicious. The Cavatelli dish was a delight. The portion was generous, the braised beef cheek melted in my mouth. The sauce was flavorful. This dish is one of my favorites. The linguine al Pollo was an excellent dish as well. The hot meals arrived steaming at the table, we could not ask for anything better. The service was impeccable, the staff were courteous & very kind. This restaurant is worth discovering. The only downside we noticed was that it got cold quickly inside when the delivery people or customers entered.
