Everything people have come to want in a French style boulangerie is perfectly encapsulated in Boulangerie Le Toledo. From the style of service to the incredible flakiness & scrumptious flavors! This place has absolutely become a Montreal staple!
One of my fav bakeries in Montreal! Visited the Wellington place for the first time two days ago & it was awesome! Spectacular food & great service! Feeling happy for my friends who live near Verdun area!
I'm gluten intolorent but can eat saroudough bread because it has less gluten.A very frustrated woman with light hair who clearly doesn't like her job, hopefully she wasn't the manager but maybe she was LIES to me & tells me that all the bread is saroudough! I'm checking the descriptions on the bread & clearly it's not saroudough, when I asked about it rudely says look around,so I left...I don't recommend this place ,there are other better places where they don't lie to your face.
Came in for a coffee & some croissants. Got an iced coffee & tried the plain croissant, the almond croissant & the chocolate almond croissant. They were all very good. The plain croissant was very flakey with many layers, you can taste the butter, it was so good! The almond & chocolate almond croissants were very tasty as well, not too sweet with a great texture. The bakery has a variety of pastries & fresh bread. They have picnic benches outside. Service was good. Would recommend.

I have been coming to this place in Verdun since it's opened. Excellent food, phenomenal pastries, out of this world bread. I gave Toledo 5 stars except on service, I gave it 4, I could have given it a 3 or less. This would be the first time. When checking out I experienced my "Short Change" or as my friends calls it: Getting the typical "Bar" fast of hand. My order came to $26. & change, I gave the fellow at the cash $40. He give me change for $30. It was busy & he was talking it up to the other patrons. Hey mistakes happen, so I told him I gave him two twenties, he said sorry, still talking it up with other patrons, he gives me a $5 bill. See what happened? It was not a mistake, he was doing the waitress bar hustle. I never had an experience like this at this place, service was always top notch only superseded by the quality of the products. I'm kind of gun shy to go back, knowing it was NOT a mistake but a way to make , at first $10 then $5. Then to top it off, he packed my order in a bag, got my lady friend extra treats for work this week. It was a surprise for her, as we get home I gave her the little surprise, nothing big just a little recognition of all she does for me. & what do I find, I never told her, but was short on two different pastries. Once again it's not the cost it's the principle of it. Hard to take. Too bad such a nice place.
