I used to come here frequently before Covid & it was hands-down the best pastry place I've ever been to. I just recently went back When I was in the neighborhood & I was extremely disappointed. They seemed to have changed all their way of doing things. I had picked up a variety of items & after tasting them all, I threw them out. It seems they are now using a higher concentration of cheap fats instead of butter. Either that or there ingredients have gone bad. Everything was gross.

I will never be going back.

Came to Montreal in search of the very best chocolatine aux amandes. Fred's was very underwhelming, but still tasty. Also had a nice raspberry pastry with custard.

Safe place to sit down, with friendly staff, & omg delicious pastry! I absolutely recommend this place. Classy atmosphere, pleasant aroma & no loud music for once!

Une boulangerie avec des pains & des viennoiseries excellentes à des prix abordables. It attracts a steady stream of people & some might stay to talk over coffee. No fancy decor instead local art is displayed. The youth learns to make bread & deliver polite service. I find this place enchanting & a breath of fresh air. Swing by grab a pastry & spend a little time soaking in the energy. A soothing experience.
