This boulangerie is always busy, which says a lot about the quality of their bread & pastries. Everything is consistently fresh & delicious, & the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The employees are always nice, welcoming, & efficient, even during busy hours.
If you're looking for a cozy café where you can sit & relax for a long time, this might not be the spot. While you can sit & enjoy your food, it's more of a grab-&-go kind of place.
Definitely come here if you're craving excellent pastries & bread-you won't be disappointed.

Oh man the coffee...
I got an oat latte expecting creamy goodness, but all I got was sour disappointment

This place is a gem. You see everyone working in the back, everyone's a sweetheart & the pastries & breads are all to die for. Crazy sourdough

Amazing bread & pastries. Their Galette des Rois was fantastic, although seasonal. The service is great as well, efficient & always under control, even in rush!

Chez Fred used to have the best pastries in Montréal without a doubt. Now, like many other similar places, it's hit or miss. Croissants & chocolatines can be bready & dry. An almond croissant was hard. The service was never great but the quality of the product made up for it.

I stopped by after being recommended by a local Healthcare practitioner. Glad I did! The coffee was excellent & the pastries even better. :)

Great croissants. Good breads. Overpriced pastries. Some good servers, but the rotation is so constant that you are always with someone who is training & there is a long line-up. But it's usually worth it & it will move moderately fast. Very strange opening & closing times. Always schedules keep changing. Watch for new ones on the door.
