It's just very good. Service is very professional. Good wine list. Can be abit pricey, so heads up. I always come here when I'm in Montréal. Lunch & dinner menus are great. They serve French foods, having a la carte & prix fix. Good for special occasion or any occasion.
I rarely write reviews, but after last night's dinner I feel compelled to share my incredible experience. I was blown away by the precision of the wine pairing with the set menu, I highly the Canadian wines option. My highlight was the bass crudo & green apple consommé, paired with Quebec chardonnay/seyval from Les Pervenches winery. My compliments to the chef & each member of the staff that made our night memorable.

Simply incroyable !! Found this restaurant specifically for my visit to Montreal & I am so glad I did! Beautiful artistry in the dishes & the wine pairings are to die for. Wish I had taken a picture of each & every one because I WILL be searching for them. The servers were so kind & accommodating & they incorporated all our wishes into the tasting menu. Cuisine wise, yes, I did feel transported to France. Can't recommend this place enough!
Ne vous fiez surtout pas à l'apparence extérieure, ce restaurant fait partie à mon avis des meilleurs resto gastronomique que j'ai expérimenté. Nous avons pris le menu découverte avec accord vin & nous sommes tous du même avis, chapeau au chef !!!!! Une expérience que nous referons volontiers sans hésiter. Encore un beau merci à toute l'équipe pour cette belle expérience! 👌 Je vous le recommande fortement !
I was not impressed with the food tbh. & the ambiance doesn't justify the price. As other reviewers have said, squeezing some dots of sauce on a few pieces of meat in a fancy plate fine dining does not make. Two stars only because the service was good & the freshness & actual quality of the food was good, but the preparation was not delicious or thoughtful enough for this price point. We ordered the tasting menu.
This evening was absolutely impeccable. For my birthday, my husband & I both took the 5 service menu paired with the European wines. Each meal & detail was perfectly balanced & thought out. I was not a fan or all the wines but they were all intelligently matched. One I could not drink & they immediately changed it even if I had said it was not an issue. They also adapted the menu to fit the fact that I cannot eat red meat. The sommelière Isabelle was fantastic & so were every staff member we interacted with. What an amazing experience & we will be back!
I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for 7 years, always loving their food & trusting the chef's skills & presentation. However, yesterday when I went for lunch with friends, the bill for three people was $235, with a $35 tax. I left a tip of almost 13%, totaling $300 in cash. The server came over & said it wasn't enough, showing me on the card machine that I should leave a minimum of 15% tip, making me add an additional $10 in front of my friends. I'm really curious: 1. Is it mandatory to leave a tip of 15% or more, otherwise you can't leave? 2. Do we have to tip 15% even on the tax? I really dislike the current attitude of some servers, it made my dining experience very unpleasant.
Tried out the 5 course tasting menu for 105$. The service & the food were top notch. My favourite dish of the night was the stripped bass dish. It was so fresh with the apple & shiso. The apple consume was so tasty & complimented the fish so well!!! The squash ravioli was also yummy! The brown butter sauce complimented the squash filling. The beef dish & dessert was also very well executed. I can tell that each dish was well thought out & meticulously prepared. Would definitely come back again!!
Stylish, intimate, environment in a central location (I was surprised that I had never noticed it before). Attentive, informative service. Tasty, interesting food (highlights include the seared trout, butternut squash ravioli & roasted beef). Very intriguing non-alcoholic beverage pairings! Ridiculously small portions for the dishes (even for a French-inspired restaurant)...

Très bon restaurant. Notre nouvelle expérience a confirmé les précédentes : raffiné, original, saveurs complexes. J'ai tenté l'accord non-alcoolisé. J'en suis très contente. Le service est impeccable, même si on nous a fait comprendre que la sommelière ne se devait pas de répondre aux demandes d'explication sur les méthodes de désalcoolisation des vins. L'ambiance était assez douce, pas de musique tonitruante. Attention, l'appellation "bouillon" ne doit pas s'entendre à la française. En effet les prix sont élevés le soir.
J'ai aimé mon expérience au Bouillon Bilk, de l'accueil jusqu'au service tout était attentionné. La nourriture était excellente, j'ai préféré les ravioli parmi tous les plats que j'ai choisi. J'ai choisi le pavlova pour le dessert, c'était délicieux & très frais. Je célèbrais un anniversaire & ils sont venus avec le dessert avec une bougie.
Expérience culinaire incroyable. Nous avons opté pour le menu dégustation 8services (avec option sans viande pour 2 d'entre nous) & tout était parfait! En photo, mes 2 coups de coeur, truite & raviole. Service tout aussi bien que les plats, & une belle carte de cocktails & vins.
