Review Summary

Reviews describe Bottega as a true slice of Italy in Montreal, with authentic flavors and a wood fired oven that gives a distinctive crust and texture. The pizzas and calzones are repeatedly highlighted as standout items, with the margherita and the calzone often described as exceptional or the best. Arancini, gnocchi, meatballs and daily pastas are frequently praised for their quality and freshness. Service is described as attentive and knowledgeable in many visits, though a few experiences note inconsistency or rudeness and slower service. The atmosphere is often called cozy, vibrant, and authentic, sometimes lively to the point of being loud or crowded, especially on weekends. Prices are sometimes seen as high, but quality and ingredients are said to justify the cost, with some calls for more salads or pasta options. Many reviewers consider Bottega a must visit and some call it the best pizza in Montreal, though a minority point to occasional service or value concerns.

Great place for a night out. Beautiful outdoor terrace. Me my girlfriend had 2 entrées. The Fried Calamari was amazing & so was the Polpette(meatball). As a main course we both had a pizza. The pizzas were really good. The only disappointment was the pizza dough was soft & very chewy. Considering it was cooked in a wood burning oven we were expecting a crispy crust, light & airy. Still worth a visit.

Great service at Bottega last night from each individual person who helped serve our party. The pizza was terrific, though I guess I'd have hoped for a touch more variety on the menu. Perhaps more salad or pasta options. Then again it IS a pizzeria, so that's mostly my bad. The pizza is worthwhile for sure, & the fried calamari is super fresh!

The pizza margherita & fried calamari were really good! Service was good though I think they were a little understaffed.
