Bottega specializes in authentic Neapolitan pizza crafted with high-quality ingredients imported directly from Italy. The menu highlights classic flavor combinations ranging from margherita to specialized regional recipes that respect time-honored artisanal techniques. Beyond the signature pizzas, the establishment offers a selection of small plates featuring premium cured meats, imported cheeses, and fresh seasonal vegetables. The dining space emphasizes a functional, industrial-inspired aesthetic that prioritizes the communal experience centered around the heat of the central hearth. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with family a couple weeks ago while visiting Montreal. The absolute standouts for us were the focaccia & the pistachio gelato. Too many spots that claim to have authentic Italian gelato will serve pistachio gelato that tastes artificial, but Bottega's was authentic, creamy, & delicious. We also enjoyed the meatballs & the Diavola pizza, which had an amazing fresh crust.
This is amazingly well done Neapolitan pizza. & the place provides a great area for families to dine in. The servers are particularly impressive, adjusting themselves to each group, making them dynamic & efficient. This made my time & others experiences really nice. However it does get quite cramped & loud, though this make the service even more impressive.
I got the Margherita, supposedly it goes through a double fermentation, & you could tell. The dough had very impressive airyness in the crust, while having a firm gluten structure but still being extremely chewy. Maybe all places should do this. The centre was a little soggy though not nearly the worst, & the spotting on the crust with the char is some of the best, & the spotting underneath is also extremely good. The San marzanoes were very abundant & were a little too sweet (not sure of brand used) but still helped a lot with acidic balance. The abundance in the centre may have added sogginess a bit. One of the best parts of the is pizza is how warm it was served, with some of the freshest fior Di latte, & also very creamy for fior. Pairs well with the abundant sauce. Aromatics from Basil were lacking however. This is very close to the traditional style just done really well. Overall 9.3/10.
This is a great place for families especially but servers are able to cater to anyone very well. If you want traditional Neapolitan pizza done really well this is an amazing spot, & you can tell the servers & chef care about the quality, visibly checking it after making which is really cool. Beware it gets pretty busy though.
Great service at Bottega last night from each individual person who helped serve our party. The pizza was terrific, though I guess I'd have hoped for a touch more variety on the menu. Perhaps more salad or pasta options. Then again it IS a pizzeria, so that's mostly my bad. The pizza is worthwhile for sure, & the fried calamari is super fresh!
We are in Montreal for Memorial Day weekend & after a long day of exploring had decided to visit Little Italy. Our first place was booked up so, we decided to take our chances & try Bottega. When we first arrived our hostess was not sure if they could seat us. However, she told me to hang on for 5 minutes & after that she was able to find us a table.
The food was amazing & fresh, we started with calamari, & a house made salad. Amazing! The owner was such a friendly person & spent some of his time talking to us. He & his staff are quite welcoming & the food is spot on. If in Montreal I highly recommend stopping here.
I had an amazing dinner tonight at Bottega, renowned for its Italian cuisine, & it did not disappoint! The pasta with gamberetto was simply divine, perfectly cooked with rich, fresh flavors. The ambiance was warm & inviting, & the staff were attentive & friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're craving authentic Italian dishes or looking for a cozy dinner spot, Bottega is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
Incredible customer service by Mike & the whole team! Food portions are excellent, well seasoned, served hot with fresh ingredients. The whole staff is extremely knowledgeable & tend to our needs throughout our meal!
We just ate here this evening. We took a chance they would have room without a reservation. We sat at the bar & we were not disappointed. The woman who seated us was very attentive. The pasta was amazing! I had gnocchi & my dinner companion ordered puttanesca. Everything was super. The pino grigio, the pasta , the focaccia (for the sauce of course), so fresh snd light. We ended up ordering a pizza to go for lunch tomorrow. Thank you again, can't wait to come back!
Good Italian restaurant, food is fresh & tasty. Pizzas are made in a wood oven, with a fresh dough respecting the neapolitan style. Some items are overpriced for the quantity though (calamari with an extra for the tomato sauce). Overall it was a good experience, including the service & atmosphere.
