Bottega specializes in authentic Neapolitan pizza crafted with high-quality ingredients imported directly from Italy. Each pie features a soft, blistered crust prepared in a traditional wood-fired oven designed to deliver an optimal charred finish. The menu highlights classic flavor combinations ranging from margherita to specialized regional recipes that respect time-honored artisanal techniques. Beyond the signature pizzas, the establishment offers a selection of small plates featuring premium cured meats, imported cheeses, and fresh seasonal vegetables. The dining space emphasizes a functional, industrial-inspired aesthetic that prioritizes the communal experience centered around the heat of the central hearth. Patrons engage with a menu that avoids excessive complexity, focusing instead on the precise execution of core Italian culinary staples within a robust, high-traffic environment designed for consistent performance and rapid service delivery.
Bottega is widely celebrated as a premier destination in Montreal for authentic, Neapolitan-style pizza, with many guests praising the quality of the dough and traditional wood-fired cooking methods. The atmosphere is frequently described as warm, cozy, and family-friendly, though some diners note that the space can become quite loud and bustling during peak hours. While the majority of patrons have high praise for the attentive and professional service staff, a minority of experiences highlight inconsistencies in food quality or service interactions. Overall, the establishment is frequently recommended for those seeking a genuine Italian dining experience featuring fresh ingredients, flavorful appetizers like arancini and meatballs, and a well-curated wine selection.
Very nice place with friendly staff. The pizza was absolutely amazing, the Margherita was excellent, & the calzone was super tasty. Definitely recommend!

First time here & we looooooved it. The pizza & the calzone were spectacular, we had the Margherita pizza & the calzone, & both were incredible. We also tried the arancinis, which were really good.
The only thing I wouldn't really recommend is the arugula salad. It's not bad at all, just nothing special, & I don't think it's worth the price.
But everything else was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing, the place is beautiful, the vibe is super cozy, & it all feels really authentic.
We had dinner with our race team of 20 people. Service was amazing! Never an empty glass & everyone knew exactly what they were doing. Big compliments to the kitchen & pizza station as all our dishes came out at the same time. Highly recommend going here!
We are in Montreal for Memorial Day weekend & after a long day of exploring had decided to visit Little Italy. Our first place was booked up so, we decided to take our chances & try Bottega. When we first arrived our hostess was not sure if they could seat us. However, she told me to hang on for 5 minutes & after that she was able to find us a table.
The food was amazing & fresh, we started with calamari, & a house made salad. Amazing! The owner was such a friendly person & spent some of his time talking to us. He & his staff are quite welcoming & the food is spot on. If in Montreal I highly recommend stopping here.
We came here for a girls' night out & were really looking forward to, but while the food was delicious, the service was shockingly rude & left us all feeling uncomfortable.
Early on, while I was speaking with one of the staff member who brought us bread, our server interrupted & started talking over me. They both walked away mid-conversation, ignoring me entirely. When I asked the server about it later, he simply said the bread wasn't meant for our table, no apology, no basic courtesy.
We were then left waiting until I had to call him over to place our order. The food arrived & tasted great, but the atmosphere quickly turned cold. We started noticing the staff, & even the manager, giving us pointed looks, as if we were overstaying our welcome. The restaurant had been full when we were eating, but by then, several tables were open, so we didn't feel like we were taking up space.
When the server came over with the card machine, he didn't just hand it to me, he dropped it on my hand. It was careless, & it hurt. At this point, the restaurant was mostly empty, so we stayed at our table a little longer to chat. That's when our server came over again to fill our water… & splashed it all over the table. It felt intentional, like we were being pushed out.
The whole experience felt cold, dismissive, & just plain rude. I wish I could recommend this place for the food, but the service was unacceptable.
So, you were flirting with the bread person either trying to impress your friends or trying to get laid. Then when you got shut down, you and the girls started to treat the place like a bar where you figured you could just stay past closing. Any place that shuts down this kind of behavior is exactly where I want to be. Thank you for the recommendation.
