At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
BOSSA Prêt à manger is described as a top choice for generous, flavorful Italian style sandwiches with fresh ingredients and standout options like porchetta, chicken, diavolo, and classic hoagies, with many reviewers praising the taste, the generous portions, and good value, while several notes call out inconsistency in bread and toppings, occasional saltiness, and longer waits during peak hours or for takeout orders, yet the overall sentiment is that the sandwiches are highly enjoyable and among Montreal's best, making it a must try for sandwich lovers when time and crowding allow.
A staple in Montreal for a quick Italian sandwich. There are many different options to choose, very fresh & massive portions. I also got a cannoli which was delicious!

Had the sausage red pepper sub ...although hefty & appetizing...it lacked the homemade true italian touch....with the'wine' onion red pepper with garlic mix & of course the basil...furthermore the lettuce or coleslaw on top lacked citrussy vinaigrette. I think ranch dressing was used instead ... definitely should not be a thing on such a sub. Otherwise still a great buy.
BOSSA Prêt à manger is a must?try Montreal spot for sandwich lovers, serving up generous, flavorful Italian?style subs with fresh, quality ingredients. Their porchetta, cutlet, & classic hoagies are crowd favourites - hearty, tasty, & great value for the portion size. The staff are friendly & the vibe is casual, though it can get busy at peak lunch hours, so expect a bit of a line if you visit then. Overall, it's a top choice for a satisfying, delicious sandwich in the city.
I've been here a few times really good. But today I was really disappointed. I get the same sandwich the Italiano. Usually it's full of meat but this time hardly anything.
Wow ! J'ai clairement une nouvelle place préféré à Montréal. Les sandwichs de style Italian Deli sont délicieux. Le service est super sympathique & les produits suggérés sont magnifiques & savoureux. Je recommande fortement !
Having travelled to Italy a few times & being part Italian, I can say with certainty that this place lives up to the hype.
I travelled to Montreal with my family for a few days & on our way to our hotel we stopped by this place in great hunger.
As I ordered the Milanese sandwich in my broken French, the staff quickly switched to English, which was very kind. Moreover, they were quick & diligent with our food & we seriously enjoyed ourselves.
Come to this place when visiting Montreal or you're seriously dumb.
The sandwiches were damn good. I got the charcuterie & the meatball. Something different about the bread that made it special because it wasn't a panini it was better. Meatballs & sauce was just like my Italian family make them. I went during lunch, lots of people packed into a tiny spot & it took about half an hour to get my sandwiches ( even though the girls in the front were working efficiently) so I would say do not go if you are tight on time. I would not sit down to eat there unless it was more quiet.

Bossa makes the best sandwiches in the city & there is no competition here. Their meatball sub is by far my favourite, but I have enjoyed every sub I tried here. They also have a selection of fresh pastas which look tempting but ultimately I end up going for a sandwich every time. They also have a selection of Italian desserts like cannoli. The only reason I haven't tried them is because the sandwich leaves me so full that I habe no room for dessert. If I had one minor complaint it is that it gets crowded & there isn't much seating so getting a seat can be tricky. In summer it's less of a problem because I can get the food to go. In colder weather, when eating outside is not an option, it does become an issue.
Delicious Italian sandwiches, pasta & everything in a small but cute location. The only downside of being this popular is the crowd management during crunch time when they get orders left & right from the physical queue, & online queues. Sure there are signs for pick up & order area but I wished more was done so that there are space to dine in peacefully.
Simply THE best Italian sandwiches in the Montreal area. The Porchetta, the Chicken-Parmigianna & the Diávolo are the 3 must-do's IMO. Either stop-in & find a spot to eat or take out. Oh by the way...try the cannolì....
Good selection, great taste! I wish there was a vegan option... I know it's an Italian restaurant, but we're in 2024... a marinated seitan or tofu protein would be awesome!
