At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
Reviews about BOSSA Prêt à manger show a strong appreciation for big, flavorful Italian style sandwiches, with crowd favorites like porchetta, Milanese, steak pepperoni and diavolo noted for generous portions and fresh ingredients. However, consistency is a recurring issue, as some visits deliver excellent bread and toppings while others have bread that is stale, fillings that are sparse or sandwiches that arrive cold. Service quality is mixed as well, with many praising friendly, efficient counter staff but some reports of rude interactions or slow responsiveness during busy periods. Rush hour dynamics and the prioritization of Uber and DoorDash orders can lead to longer waits for customers ordering in person. A common health note requests avoiding canola oil in salads and switching to olive oil. Overall BOSSA Prêt à manger remains a standout for satisfying, generous sandwiches in Montreal, but visitors should brace for variability and occasional waits.
Sandwiches are good but they lack consistency! Sometimes you get stuff on your Sandwiches & other times you don't leaving the sandwich to taste different.
If they could consistently make the sandwich the same way I would have given them 5*
Food was great as usual, however the service wasn't good at all. Waited about 15 minutes to be acknowledged by the cashier(I was the only person in line), not even a smile. Then when I was given my 2 salads,3 sandwiches & arancini, I ask for a bag & she practically threw one at me. I can understand being busy but she was very rude.
Ps- get the beet salad-it's amazing!

This sandwicheria is incredible! I love the variety & freshness of the products. While I was trying the tortellini rosée + sausage rap panino I felt at home with my nonno who used to make it the same. Tutti i miei complimenti ai chef!
Bossa's sandwiches used to be very good & consistently satisfying. They are still filling & flavorful, but the quality has become more inconsistent over time. The sandwiches are often served cold & need to be reheated, which really affects the experience, as they are much less enjoyable when cold. At times, the fried chicken is also overcooked. Overall, while Bossa was excellent before, it now feels more averagE
Was excited to try this …. Unfortunately the bread was stale & none of the ingredients were fresh- both sandwiches we got were inedible. Service at the counter wasn't friendly either. Don't get the hype 🫠
If you like large tasty sandwiches & don't mind long line ups this is the place for you. My son & husband love this food. I think the ingredients are high quality & the portions very generous but it's way too salty form me. The sandwiches are huge & the bread is a little tough so I wouldn't go there with small children.

**update*
They fixed the issues with the bread, but there's still an inconsistency with the sandwiches depending on when you go & which one you order. As you can see in my picture, comparing the cheesesteak ($19) with the milanese ($17), the cheesesteak has barely any meat or toppings inside.

It used to be the best sandwich in town, but now the sandwiches aren't consistent. The last time we ordered it was really dry & barely anything in the sandwich. Also, the bread they used before was way better.
I love the sandwich here, the best in town. Probably they have the best sandwich in Montreal. My spouse & I visited this often to get our favorite sandwiches.
