Next time I'll try a different sandwich & there are many to choose from. I like simple sandwiches, not into creamy or saucy or mooshy...which depicts the porchetta perfectly. If that's what you like you'll love that sandwich. The caramelized onions overly dominated the other ingredients. I found the sandwich to slimy, both the kick from the peppers & the pork flavours undetectable. The bread was the best part of the sandwich... Liked the bread so much that I'm willing to try one of their other sandwiches.
December Sandwich of the Month Review
5 Stars automatically for having a legendary menu selection but lets get critical with the French Dip review.
7.2 Rating
Probably a 7.7 in person with the delivery sog factor eliminated.
There was a particular spice in the au jus that didn't do it for me.
Decent amount of meat but would probably double the cheese & pop it in the salamander for a good cheese pull potential.
Bossa bread is fantastic in general, but for this December special we needed a stronger crisp factor.
Overall one of the better roast beef dips I've had recently.
Price $21 - Value $17.50

Update: we ended up getting a bit frustrated because even though they handled the bread situation the best they could. We didn't ordered for a couple months.
We give another try & the bread was perfect. They told me they realized what was happening, & my feedback was valuable.
They remain the undisputed Heavy Weight Sandwich champion.

Couldn't give other rating. The subs are always amazing. They are pushing hard on their own bread to improve even more the quality. Being artesanal bread, it's hard to obtain consistency. I use fork & knife. Not the usual way to eat. I had an issue in one of my orders where the crust was chewy on a level that even for the metal fork & knife was hard to cut through.
They replied my message & handle it in the best way possible.
I will keep supporting the shop as always. Best in town.
My go-to place for sandwiches, best in MTL area by far. Aracini & cannoli are great too!
Edit 2024-02-27:
Still a great sandwich place but really not a fan of the new bread. It seems harder, drier & more dense.. a bit like a whole grain brown bread would be with less chew.
Edit 2024-03-29:
Fully redeemed! Bread was back on point! Cheesesteak is a new favorite of mine. Bossa is back on top the sandwich game.
Edit 2024-06-08:
Alas, still issues with the bread & quality unfortunately. Recently got a cheesesteak & the bread was something I haven't had before... more dense, drier & seems more stale. It was like a bad grocery store ciabatta. It seems that sometimes I get good bread & sometimes bad.. luck of the draw I guess. The sandwich also wasn't packed as usual; both ends of every sandwich we ordered were just empty bread. A bit disappointing.
Second time there at Bossa on Wellington street. a little disappointed! A huge line up to order ( about 20 mins wait just to place your order) people were pushing left & right. Once my order placed, u have to wait for them to prepare it which is another 20 mins & there is no where to stand. The staff wasn't smiling, when my order was ready almost threw the sandwich bag at me like take it & get the hell out, tried asking her a question & she turned her back & walked like I wasn't there( which was very rude). Also, the sandwiches were overly salty & dripping grease ( yay cholesterol) , once home they were soggy & the bread all wet. The sandwiches were wrapped but not clearly identifiable to know which is what. On top of everything I got overcharged with stuff I didn't get & didn't see it until I was home( I know it's on me to check) but with everyone pushing , you feel pressured to leave ASAP. Take & Check ur receipt! if u want maybe eat there ( not much space to sit & eat) but otherwise not sure it's worth it.
Went In to get 2 cold type sandwiches.
Whatever it is they put In the sandwich is high quality products that are very fresh & they put in a generous amount.
They use a ciabatta that is wide enough to hold in everything where is doesn't fall out when you eat the sandwich.
The downer was that the ciabatta crust is not crusty at all which everyone likes . Crust & inside of the ciabatta was as soft & had a taste of a cheap white bread . A good cibatta is crusty on the outside & the inside is dense .
In other words what they use it a white bread shaped as a ciabatta , sadly it's a soggy sandwich.
I ordered from Bossa for lunch 2 days ago, the Steak & Pepperoni sandwiches. It was amazing, tasty, juicy, full of steak. I ordered again today, but this time for Dinner, because I couldn't stop thinking about the sandwich. It's difficult to find a great sandwich. What I've received was very disappointing. The sandwiches had over 50% less meat, not enough sauce & we threw 1/4 of the sandwich because it was only bread. I don't usually leave reviews, but the disappointment was too big. Consistency is paramount. This time they've dropped the ball big time.

It's really a hit a miss now. The quality has gone down. Sometimes I get a really fresh sandwich, & some other days my sandwich is not even toasted, has dry bread & meat. Very unpleasant.
What an absolute delight. I was greeted with a beautiful smile by a pretty long-haired brunette lady. She even offered water to my dog. & man... what a sandwich... I had the chicken cutlet. Such delicious bread, seasoning, flavors. I also tried a cannoli. Best I ever had. I'm returning again to try more things. Good work & thank you for the warm service 👏
Staff is super awesome. I ordered the poulet parm, left & when I got in the car, the chicken was cold & hard. This was supposed to be a hot sandwich. Super disappointed. The bread was fresh & fluffy thought.
Omg the sandwich was amazing. I had the prosciutto sandwich. The bread was fine & would just be fine by itself but all together.... amazing. Had the key lime pie & olive oil cake too. Mouth watering!! The prices are totally decent too.

I'm a little disappointed... The bread is strange.. more hard & not easy to chew.. Today our prosciutto sandwich was spicy & we couldn't finish it. Maybe it was in contact with other spicy ingredients.. Few weeks ago half of my sandwich was soaking in olive oil.. Maybe I was just unlucky.. Accidents can happen..
Been coming to Bossa for several years now & it's truly 5 stars. Excellent selection, portions & service. However the bread situation is really something. Today the bread was just Cibatta which, from all the bread changes we have seen over the past few months, was very different. Really changed the sandwich. So this is a bit odd, but hopefully there will be some more consistency again soon
Been here a billion times, it's always great. Bring back that killer ROAST BEEF & I'll be here 3 days a week, minimum 🥵 Edit: lowering the food score just slightly, it's just not as consistent anymore. What was with the bread yesterday? It was too soft, chewy, kind of gross; undercooked, I guess? I no longer know what I'll be getting when I order Bossa.
Not as good as it once was. Bossa was one of my favorite spots but they seem to have cut down on the ingredients & it's now sandwiches are mostly just bread... It's not bad, it's just not worth recommending anymore.
