I've been to Bossa many times, & they never disappoint. This visit, I went with the Italiano, & it was incredible. It's absolutely stuffed with high-quality prosciutto & mortadella, fresh crispy lettuce, & their signature pickled olives which add the perfect tangy kick. Every bite is fresh & packed with flavor.
The vibe of the shop is just as good as the food. It feels like a true neighborhood gem-super cozy & charming, filled with imported Italian goods, pastas, & great coffee. It's always buzzing with energy, which makes the whole experience feel authentic. If you're looking for the best sandwiches in Montreal, this is definitely the place!
Pro tip: Grab a cannoli or a Bomboloni on your way out-you won't regret it.
This Italian deli is an absolute gem. The sandwiches are huge & absolutely incredible, easily some of the best we've ever had. Every bite was packed with flavor & clearly made with top-quality ingredients.
The space itself is very tiny, but we managed to luck out & snag a countertop seat while many people were standing & waiting. Even so, the atmosphere just added to the experience.

Real subs, hoagies, or'grinders', with quality ingredients. Really tasty!
It's a very small sandwich shop. Best to get take out, but there is a counter with some stools & a small table or two.
Update: we ended up getting a bit frustrated because even though they handled the bread situation the best they could. We didn't ordered for a couple months.
We give another try & the bread was perfect. They told me they realized what was happening, & my feedback was valuable.
They remain the undisputed Heavy Weight Sandwich champion.

Couldn't give other rating. The subs are always amazing. They are pushing hard on their own bread to improve even more the quality. Being artesanal bread, it's hard to obtain consistency. I use fork & knife. Not the usual way to eat. I had an issue in one of my orders where the crust was chewy on a level that even for the metal fork & knife was hard to cut through.
They replied my message & handle it in the best way possible.
I will keep supporting the shop as always. Best in town.
The best sandwich, porchetta & diavolo! Don't take the pistachio bonbolini unless you want a very fluffy donut with 2 teaspoons of pistachio 😅 Otherwise, great quality.
Took the Diavolo, which is an italian style sandwhich. Great sandwhich. Absolutely loved it. It was everything I was hoping for, & then some. I mean this in the best possible way, but it was like a BMT from subway, but 100 times better. Every ingredients was high quality. At it in two meals too. The only thing I would say is if you plan on going, plan on waiting a little bit. Every sandwhich is made to order & the place is almost always crowded, so expect a 15-20 min wait. Still, waiting 20 min for one of the best sandwhich of your life is worth it in my opinion.

My go-to place for sandwiches, best in MTL area by far. Aracini & cannoli are great too!
Edit 2024-02-27:
Still a great sandwich place but really not a fan of the new bread. It seems harder, drier & more dense.. a bit like a whole grain brown bread would be with less chew.
Edit 2024-03-29:
Fully redeemed! Bread was back on point! Cheesesteak is a new favorite of mine. Bossa is back on top the sandwich game.
Edit 2024-06-08:
Alas, still issues with the bread & quality unfortunately. Recently got a cheesesteak & the bread was something I haven't had before... more dense, drier & seems more stale. It was like a bad grocery store ciabatta. It seems that sometimes I get good bread & sometimes bad.. luck of the draw I guess. The sandwich also wasn't packed as usual; both ends of every sandwich we ordered were just empty bread. A bit disappointing.
Went In to get 2 cold type sandwiches.
Whatever it is they put In the sandwich is high quality products that are very fresh & they put in a generous amount.
They use a ciabatta that is wide enough to hold in everything where is doesn't fall out when you eat the sandwich.
The downer was that the ciabatta crust is not crusty at all which everyone likes . Crust & inside of the ciabatta was as soft & had a taste of a cheap white bread . A good cibatta is crusty on the outside & the inside is dense .
In other words what they use it a white bread shaped as a ciabatta , sadly it's a soggy sandwich.
Insanely good, LARGE sandwiches. Don't go if you're not that hungry. Prices extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get. Went most recently after running the Verdun 10k, perfect place after a long workout. Think I've had all three veggie options multiple times, always excellent - really recommend the eggplant parm & the roasted veggies. Not very vegan-friendly without heavy modifications, but they're friendly & open to additions/subtractions, so worth a try if that's your thing. Partner & family have had multiple meat options, always sizable & reportedly delicious. Great little grocery attached for some quality, unique Italian pantry items to-go, too. Also sells prepared salads, sides, & beers. Can be crowded, especially on weekends or sunny days, but the line moves & it's worth the wait.

High quality Italian deli, a must go-to in montreal. Plus they don't have that forced tipping on their card Machine which makes them my favourite place to grab a lunch. They also have good Fresh Italian pasta, treats & burrata at A reasonable price when you want something good to make at home.
It's really a hit a miss now. The quality has gone down. Sometimes I get a really fresh sandwich, & some other days my sandwich is not even toasted, has dry bread & meat. Very unpleasant.
Been here many times! Started off as a top sandwich place. Unfortunately quality in the food has started to slowly decrease. Still a good spot, but probably wouldn't recommend to friends coming in from out of town anymore. Perhaps the reason in decrease of quality is that they've started to franchise this place out.
Good quality sandwiches. We were very full with one each. There is a waiting time but it is understandable because it gets very busy during rush hours. A nice discovery was the Cafe di crema which tasted amazing !

The GOAT of local sandwich shops. Staff are all amazing & the food is damn near perfect every time. Prices are great for what you get too. It can take a while sometimes to get your food with the huge lines, but that speaks to the quality.
The sandwiches are always amazing here, but one other thing I absolutely love about it is there's no prompt to tip for takeout on the payment machine. For this reason (& the aforementioned quality of the food), I DO tip on takeout here, but the old fashioned way -- I drop some change in the jar. & if I don't have any on me, I make up for it the next time I do. It's so nice to have a place that doesn't force you through the awkward dance of picking a percentage while they stand right across from you. It makes it easier to decide to go here.
Bossa Sandwiches in Verdun is a gem of a spot that's crafting some of the most innovative & delicious sandwiches in the area. The menu at Bossa is diverse, offering something for every palate-from savory classics to more adventurous options that blend unexpected ingredients beautifully. Standouts include their smoked meat sandwich, which is a nod to Montreal's culinary traditions but with a unique twist that keeps you coming back for more. Vegetarians & vegans are also well catered to, with creative options that are just as satisfying & flavorful as their meaty counterparts. In addition to the food, Bossa Sandwiches has a cozy vibe that makes it an ideal spot for a quick lunch or a leisurely afternoon bite. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, & the quality you get is worth every penny. If you find yourself in Verdun, don't miss out on Bossa Sandwiches. It's a perfect example of how simple ingredients, when handled with care & creativity, can be transformed into something truly extraordinary.
I've been a regular customer at Bossa (Verdun location) & the food has been always on point. The meat has been consistently juicy & fresh! Today, I ordered two chicken cutlet sandwiches & my whole family was so disappointed because the chicken cutlet was so thin, all dried up, almost impossible to chew... we felt like chewing dried up leather 😂 I don't know if this is one time thing or the quality of the food is going down. We will see. Once having this kind of experience, it makes us hesitant to go back.
