At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
BOSSA is widely praised for huge, generously packed Italian style sandwiches made to order with high quality ingredients, with many calling it the best in Montreal and nearby areas. Standouts include porchetta, diavolo, chicken parm and a rich array of fillings, and desserts such as tiramisu, cannoli and olive oil cake are highlighted as excellent. Portions are often described as so generous they can feed two, and the overall vibe is a lively, authentic deli with Italian groceries, great coffee and a friendly team. However long waits during peak hours and limited seating are common, and some reviews note occasional bread inconsistencies or a recent bread change before returning to form. A few isolated ordering hiccups are addressed by responsive staff and even owner intervention, leaving many satisfied and willing to return. The experience is considered worth the detour and the drive, with takeout and dine-in both recommended for a reliable, delicious sandwich fix.
Walked in at 12:20 on a Sunday afternoon. It was a fullhouse with people dining-in & also many waiting in line to place their orders. FYI: I am not the most patient person & I don't usually do line-ups, but I decided to relax & give this joint a chance. I was out the door within 15 minutes of walking in, which (in my opinion) is acceptable.
Place seems clean at first glance.
Employees seem too work well together although the preparation section is chaotic (keep in kind that I visited during lunch).
Many pastas, salads, & sauces can be purchased from their refridgerated sections. Prices are... ok.
As expected, sandwiches were messy & oily but that's how you know it was done right. No shortage of toppings either as the two sandwiches I ordered were stuffed with fresh ingredients. Prices were reasonable ($17/sandwich).
Location can be difficult to find & parking can be a real PITA, although I still prefer this location than the one in Verdun (the Verdun location gives me a bad vibe).

Couple of places to sit down, maybe 10 max, but all were taken. Standing room only while u wait but was not a problem. We ordered 4 sandwiches & some desserts to try, all 4 of us thought everything was exceptionally good. Place has a great vibe. Drove all the way from the west Island to Verdun & will sure do it again. Readymade food looked great. Will make it a point to pick some up on our next visit. Keep up the good work.
I've never been disappointed by the spot. Probably the best sandwich I've had in Verdun. I'm obsessed with the prosciutto sandwich with eggplant added 🫰
Played at a grad in Verdun & discovered BOSSA. The sandwiches were incredible. So much so that this school I played at swears by them. I am going straight over there one day for some food stuffs, & I can't wait! SEE YOU SOON…. EDIT: fast forward to 2025. This place is very very very popular. & very busy. Call in your orders before coming over. ☎?
Toujours populaire & on comprend pourquoi.

A Montreal highlight ! A Verdun favourite. Delicious , generous , masterfully engineered Italian sandwiches to stay or go. Seating inside or out, or walk ten minutes to the Verdun riverside parks. Don't miss this place . It's the best.
Excellent grocery store of hard-to-find Italian pantry items, pre-made meals, & crazy made-to-order sandwiches. Slightly chaotic inside as it's a popular place & a lot of Verdun knows about it. I find it slightly pricey for the grocery items, but $16 for a sandwich is actually very fair considering they're massive. Will definitely be back.
A while back, I visited Verdun with a friend, & we were searching for a quick bite. We ended up trying their *Roasted Chicken* sandwich, & it was absolutely delicious! The sandwich was a good size-filling enough that we shared one & still felt satisfied. Even though it's been some time since my visit, I still remember how tasty it was. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area again!

Bossa on Wellington Street in Verdun is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warmest, friendliest staff who make you feel right at home. The food? Incredible. From the first bite, you can tell everything is crafted with love & care. & the desserts? Simply divine! But the real star of the show is their chicken parm sub-it's hands down the best in Montreal! Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, & so satisfying, it's worth the trip alone. Highly recommend Bossa for anyone looking for amazing food, a cozy vibe, & top-notch service. This place has quickly become a favorite. Don't miss out!
Insanely good, LARGE sandwiches. Don't go if you're not that hungry. Prices extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get. Went most recently after running the Verdun 10k, perfect place after a long workout. Think I've had all three veggie options multiple times, always excellent - really recommend the eggplant parm & the roasted veggies. Not very vegan-friendly without heavy modifications, but they're friendly & open to additions/subtractions, so worth a try if that's your thing. Partner & family have had multiple meat options, always sizable & reportedly delicious. Great little grocery attached for some quality, unique Italian pantry items to-go, too. Also sells prepared salads, sides, & beers. Can be crowded, especially on weekends or sunny days, but the line moves & it's worth the wait.
You want good ,tasty sandwiches , Bossa is the place . We went to the one in Verdun ,definitely going back . Will also go to the one on Masson . Staff is very helpful , patient & polite
