Well there are aloof shop's like this in montreal, but this one is worth the detour to verdun. I've been wanting to go for months & im glad i did, but mad at myself for taking so long because I've missed out. Ive never had a fresher sandwich....sorry'gourmet' sandwich like this. The bread was super fresh ingredients crisp & quality. Understand one thing they know what they are doing some don't disrespect the sandwich by taking stuff out & changing it up because they know what they are doing. Service was top notch they were super busy when I came in & there was no stress serving you with a smile, small talk & invited me to come back.....ant trust me I will cant wait to try the other sandwich. Ps make sure you are hungry because the sandwiches are not skimpy.
We've always loved going to Bossa for their sandwiches! The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, & every sandwich is packed with flavor. There's often a long line, but it moves quickly & is always worth the wait. The staff are friendly & it's one of those places we find ourselves coming back to again & again. Easily one of our favourite sandwich spots in Montreal!
Tried this place for the first time on Saturday & the food was honestly really good no complaints there at all. The sandwiches were fresh & definitely worth the visit.
The only thing I noticed, coming from a store management background, is that the front entrance area gets extremely crowded. Since everyone waits near the door for their orders, it becomes hard to tell where the actual line starts for ordering, which can be a bit confusing for first-time customers.
I also noticed that most employees stay behind the counter, so the front area isn't really being monitored. With how busy it gets, it seems like it could make theft much easier 😵?💫.
milanese was a 10/10, juicy, fresh
spicy sausage on the other hand is not for the weak. way too spicy for me
Tried the porchetta sandwich; very good, fresh, tasty, & a very generous portion.
Walked in at 12:20 on a Sunday afternoon. It was a fullhouse with people dining-in & also many waiting in line to place their orders. FYI: I am not the most patient person & I don't usually do line-ups, but I decided to relax & give this joint a chance. I was out the door within 15 minutes of walking in, which (in my opinion) is acceptable.
Place seems clean at first glance.
Employees seem too work well together although the preparation section is chaotic (keep in kind that I visited during lunch).
Many pastas, salads, & sauces can be purchased from their refridgerated sections. Prices are... ok.
As expected, sandwiches were messy & oily but that's how you know it was done right. No shortage of toppings either as the two sandwiches I ordered were stuffed with fresh ingredients. Prices were reasonable ($17/sandwich).
Location can be difficult to find & parking can be a real PITA, although I still prefer this location than the one in Verdun (the Verdun location gives me a bad vibe).
I've been to Bossa many times, & they never disappoint. This visit, I went with the Italiano, & it was incredible. It's absolutely stuffed with high-quality prosciutto & mortadella, fresh crispy lettuce, & their signature pickled olives which add the perfect tangy kick. Every bite is fresh & packed with flavor.
The vibe of the shop is just as good as the food. It feels like a true neighborhood gem-super cozy & charming, filled with imported Italian goods, pastas, & great coffee. It's always buzzing with energy, which makes the whole experience feel authentic. If you're looking for the best sandwiches in Montreal, this is definitely the place!
Pro tip: Grab a cannoli or a Bomboloni on your way out-you won't regret it.
An institution in Montreal, if you're looking for great tasting sandwiches, Italian food, prepared goods & delicious desserts, this is the place. Generous portions & fresh ingredients, I really enjoy this small chain of restaurants. Staff are so friendly & service is quick. I highly recommend!
These must be the best Italian sandwiches in Montreal. Huge & absolutely delicious, every time. My favourites are the pochette & the chicken parm… definitely get them pressed! The shop has a great selection of sauces, fresh & dried pastas, & other specialty foods & a few wines as well.
