At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
BOSSA Prêt à manger appears as a go to for generous Italian sandwiches, with favorites like porchetta, diavolo and chicken parmesan, plus cannoli, tiramisu and olive oil cake and a well stocked deli counter; reviews praise fresh ingredients, big portions and good value, while noting that bread quality can vary and the place is very busy with lines and wait times; the staff are frequently described as friendly and efficient, though there are occasional complaints about cleanliness or a chaotic prep area; overall it is hailed as one of Montreal's best sandwich spots and a must visit for fans of hearty Italian fare, with Verdun and Wellington locations both mentioned.
I've been to Bossa many times, & they never disappoint. This visit, I went with the Italiano, & it was incredible. It's absolutely stuffed with high-quality prosciutto & mortadella, fresh crispy lettuce, & their signature pickled olives which add the perfect tangy kick. Every bite is fresh & packed with flavor.
The vibe of the shop is just as good as the food. It feels like a true neighborhood gem-super cozy & charming, filled with imported Italian goods, pastas, & great coffee. It's always buzzing with energy, which makes the whole experience feel authentic. If you're looking for the best sandwiches in Montreal, this is definitely the place!
Pro tip: Grab a cannoli or a Bomboloni on your way out-you won't regret it.
They definitely have the best & the biggest sandwiches on Wellington. They are delicious & honestly big enough to feed two people. I do find that sometimes the sandwiches can be too greasy though, still delicious. The only issue is the lineup situation here. When they get busy, there is no real queuing system & you will be waiting for a while to get your food.

Première commande de sandwich chez Bossa. Wow.
Surprenant qu'un sandwich soit aussi délicieux. On y retourne bientôt. Malheureusement pas de salle a manger sur place mais de retour à la maison on a gouté à la surprise. À découvrir. Le détour en vaut la peine.
This Italian deli is an absolute gem. The sandwiches are huge & absolutely incredible, easily some of the best we've ever had. Every bite was packed with flavor & clearly made with top-quality ingredients.
The space itself is very tiny, but we managed to luck out & snag a countertop seat while many people were standing & waiting. Even so, the atmosphere just added to the experience.
Comment dire bossa est rendu la référence des place a sandwich pour la grosseur & le goût ca en vaut vraiment le prix je crois avoir essayer toute les sandwich & jamais déçu!!!!
Real subs, hoagies, or'grinders', with quality ingredients. Really tasty!
It's a very small sandwich shop. Best to get take out, but there is a counter with some stools & a small table or two.

Couple of places to sit down, maybe 10 max, but all were taken. Standing room only while u wait but was not a problem. We ordered 4 sandwiches & some desserts to try, all 4 of us thought everything was exceptionally good. Place has a great vibe. Drove all the way from the west Island to Verdun & will sure do it again. Readymade food looked great. Will make it a point to pick some up on our next visit. Keep up the good work.
Can't comment on the atmosphere as I've never been to the place, only ordered from here … but DELICIOUS sandwiches …. Honestly one of the best … a bit on the expensive side … but worth it since it's a big sandwich …
ONLY PROBLEM : … we've ordered from Bossa from work dozens of times so far … totalling thousands of dollars … last Sunday though, we ordered from Uber Eats.
Order was finalized by 16:10, they close at 17:00, after about 45 minutes, they just cancelled the order (Bossa, not the driver), …. If you can't handle a 6 sandwich order, 50 minutes before closing, at least let us know in advance so that we can plan & adapt, & order from somewhere else … it complicates things when you're on a tight schedule at work … half the people I ordered with don't want to order from here anymore out of principle … so that's something that people who read this should take into account …
December Sandwich of the Month Review
5 Stars automatically for having a legendary menu selection but lets get critical with the French Dip review.
7.2 Rating
Probably a 7.7 in person with the delivery sog factor eliminated.
There was a particular spice in the au jus that didn't do it for me.
Decent amount of meat but would probably double the cheese & pop it in the salamander for a good cheese pull potential.
Bossa bread is fantastic in general, but for this December special we needed a stronger crisp factor.
Overall one of the better roast beef dips I've had recently.
Price $21 - Value $17.50

I've never been disappointed by the spot. Probably the best sandwich I've had in Verdun. I'm obsessed with the prosciutto sandwich with eggplant added 🫰
