Le cadre offre aussi bien une salle agréable qu'une terrasse propice à la détente, ce qui complète l'expérience. We went to Boqueria in the summer & had a wonderful experience. The terrace was great, & the food was genuinely delicious. We ordered gambas al ajillo, anchovies, & paella, & everything was on point.
That's why I was so surprised & disappointed when I brought friends back last night (we were 6).
The ambience & interior design are beautiful-boho, Mediterranean style-& the background music was a fantastic selection. I didn't drink, but my friends really enjoyed the cocktails.
The food was honestly terrible, & it felt like a completely different restaurant compared to the summer.The gambas al ajillo had nothing to do with what we had before. The patatas bravas were basically just fries.& the paella was the worst I've had in my life.
I lived in Spain for four years, & I'm not exaggerating when I say: please don't call that paella. More broadly, the food last night didn't resemble what you'd expect from Spanish cuisine at all.
I truly hope the owners take this comment seriously, because I left feeling really disappointed-& honestly, embarrassed in front of my friends after recommending the place based on my previous experience.
Stepped in for a drink & delighted by the server/manager. Very friendly greeting & charming. Wish I had more of a appetite when I visited to try some more food. I had the croquettes & a drink. Both were great. She also recommended a good pub near by. Hope to come back again next time in Montreal.

Lack of training in staff + kitchen cleanliness issue.
Although the waiter was nice & he mentioned it was his first day, it was annoying that he got our order wrong three times. First it was my friend's drink, then it was the size of our paella. Then it was about the milk-ingredients in a dish.
My friend is from Spain, & she knows the names of the dishes on the menu. She told our waiter that she has an allergy to milk protein & wants to know if the sauce of an asparagus dish has any, since she knows it can be cooked with milk or cream. The waiter double checked with the cooks & told us'no, there is no milk in the sauce'. But when the dish turned up, the asparagus tasted like butter & there was cheese grated on top.
The second problem is the cleanliness of their cooking practices. I got food poisoning an hour & a half after eating at their restaurant. I was in a lot of pain that night with fever. I called in this morning to ask about the ingredients of the dishes & explained I had food poisoning. The floor manager discredited the validity of my testimony & didn't believe me. Then the phone went mute, the call held on for ten silent seconds & then cut off. He likely hung up.
Was an absolute pleasure to celebrate my birthday in this restaurant!✨
To start with, the service is one of the best I've had in Montreal. I visited the restaurant a week prior the event & asked if I can choose the table. The manager was amazing & let me choose the table, he was very helpful & nice about it.
The day of my birthday celebration we got not just great service but also amazing food & drinks. We orders Paella & Catch of the Day, everything was fantastic.
& lastly, the atmosphere made us feel like we are on vacation dinner☀?🌊🏖?🐚🌅
You definitely have to visit this place!
P.S. to the manager & the crew, thank you again for making my birthday event perfect🫶🏻
The food was ridiculously priced, the 45$ paella TO SHARE can barely feed a single grown man & it's not like the food was extraordinary. The service was nice & the atmosphere too. The drinks were very good though, totally worth it for the cocktails & mocktails.

The atmosphere/decor, the service, the drinks & the music were nice however; for the food we had tapas that indicate that they are to share on the menu. We got the plate for 15$ & received 3 cod fish balls again "to share". To share with who ? I'm just very dissatisfied & will not return.
I've been here two times already in the last week. The food is really good & so are the drinks, the rosée sangria is my fav. Thanks to Jamal me & my 5 friends had a blast.
Great seafood, fresh food & drinks. They gave us a few rounds of complimentary shots as we were celebrating a birthday. Service could've been a tad quicker but hey that happens :)

Due to the sudden rain, all the clients from the terrace were moved inside the restaurant, creating a bit of chaos. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for a table to become available, which took about 20 minutes. In the meantime, we were asked to sit at the bar, but the counter was wet & hadn't been cleaned, so we decided not to order any drinks. When we were finally seated, the space felt cramped & uncomfortable, as the restaurant is quite small. The food, particularly the paella, was disappointing-it was overly salty & lacked the balance of flavors we were hoping for. Overall, the experience was underwhelming & not what we expected."
This is a lovely spot to enjoy an assortment of tapas items & have a drink looking out onto the old port. A rare opportunity for excellent food service & an exceptional owner. The atmosphere will transport you to the Mediterranean. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We visited on their second day open & it was fantastic! Elliot was our waiter & was fab at recommending tapas & drinks, & with answering our questions. We ordered several tapas & they were all great. I'd recommend them all. We got: -Datiles con Bacon (omgg so SO good, don't miss out! You get 3 dates so make sure everyone gets at least 1 full date, if not more 😋) -Pan con Tomate (very fresh & refreshing) -Anchoas en Active de Oliva (lemon & rosemary were a lovely addition) -Catalan roasted veggies (eggplant & peppers, beautiful) Bonus orders: -Table de Quesos (wow, the sheep's milk cheese was great; wish I remembered the name. Market pricing was a bit steep for the volume of cheese/bread, though) -Tres Leche (very rich but light) -Chocolate ganoche (lovely, rich, & beautiful add of salt; def try!) Everything was great. Our waiter Elliot was very nice & helpful, great timing, & he recommended a very nice dry white wine for my MIL. The Gin & Tonic was also very nice, lovely juniper garnish too. Very much looking forward to returning & trying their croquettes!!
