Création de l'assiette sur fond de terroir bien français... La cuisine du Bonaparte est tout sourire, basée sur la fraîcheur des produits. Au Bonaparte, nous cherchons toujours à faire plaisir, trouver les petits "Plus" qui sauront combler vos attentes. Ainsi, nous offrons en plus du menu À la Carte et de la Table d'Hôte, un menu Théâtre pendant la saison régulière du Centaur de 17h30 à 18h30. Chez nous rapidité et gourmandise peuvent se conjuguer. Si vous désirez savourer les spécialités du chef, notre menu Dégustation à 7 services vous séduira.
Bonaparte se distingue par une élégante ambiance française et un cadre chaleureux au cœur du Vieux-Montréal. Le service est généralement attentif et professionnel, avec une équipe accueillante et connaissant bien le menu et les accords vins. La cuisine, fidèle à l'esprit français, met en valeur des plats comme le canard confit, le magret de canard, le filet et l'agneau, ainsi que des fruits de mer et des desserts délicats, et les menus dégustation avec les accords offrent souvent une expérience réussie. Le cadre intime et la présentation soignée créent une atmosphère idéale pour une soirée romantique ou une occasion spéciale. Le choix est varié, les plats sont souvent décrits comme savoureux et bien exécutés, et la carte des vins et les cocktails apportent une belle touche. Globalement, l'établissement est perçu comme une référence du quartier pour ceux qui recherchent une cuisine française classique et raffinée.
L'ambiance était géniale, le personnel très sympa & la nourriture savoureuse. Nous étions là pour un rendez-vous amoureux & nous avons tous les deux apprécié l'expérience. Je souhaite seulement que la crème brûlée soit mieux présentée. Si vous visitez Montréal, je suggère d'essayer cet endroit.
Simon awaited us with astonishing courage & splendor. We went for fancy meal because we are not used to such fancities & I think they did a good job not making us look like fools. Thank you for that. But fancy feasts Have little food & not much more to offer. The wine was great & was indeed a good pairing with our filet mignon & fancy underwater snacks. Thanks again to Simon for cosplaying well

Quelle merveilleuse soirée avec ma femme le service la nourriture & le personnels sont magnifiques merci si je pouvais donner plus que 5 étoiles & bien j'en donnerai 10
To be honest, we initially made a reservation here because we wanted to stay close to our hotel, but Bonaparte was the perfect meal to end our honeymoon trip. We both did the tasting menu, & I also added the wine pairing. Everything we tried was delicious & well-portioned. The wines were all well paired & our waitress did a lovely job explaining each match. The service, ambiance, & food were all excellent - I can't recommend this restaurant enough. We would certainly go back.
A wonderful traditional French restaurant with a great atmosphere in the Old Port. You will be amazed by the fantastic ambience, sparkling Christmas tree, warm lights, elegant table cloths, romantic music & 5 stars service. We chose the 7 course tasting menu without regrets. Every dish was perfect! It was pleasant to sit a table by the window having delicious meals while it was snowing outside. An unforgettable night! We will come back!
Incredible from start to finish. Was in Montreal for a quick weekend visit. Spouse decided on a last minute client dinner & I was lucky enough to find a spot for 4 at Bonaparte on a Friday night. The original table assigned to us was in a busy area so our guests requested a quieter location & the staff at Bonaparte couldn't have been more gracious. After just a short wait, they seated us in the back with a perfect table for 4. 3 of us opted for the tasting menu. Service from their team was impeccable & the food was amazing in all facets (presentation, flavours & textures). Our reservation was at 8PM & we ended up spending almost 4 hours there., time just flew by. The atmosphere is very relaxing. We were never rushed or hurried. Very nice experience for the entire party. This is a must do when in Montreal. We would travel back to Montreal just to experience Bonaparte again & perhaps even stay at the adjacent hotel. Merci beaucoup!!!
Beautiful food, beautiful atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming & all the food was prepared well. It's also in a beautiful location in the old town, so try to get a window seat if you can.

The best fine dine experience in montreal. A must visit restaurant for all the visitors . The food, cocktails, dessert everything was so on point. Although the food is on a very higher end, the total bill was more than $300 but it was so worth it. 10/10 experience.
Le Bonaparte est un restaurant de style empire de l'époque napoléonienne. Nous étions dans la salle Impératrice avec son beau foyer & ses grandes fenêtres qui donnent vue sur la rue. Un excellent souper de 4 services. Ambiance chaleureuse. & que dire du service, Juliette & compagnie nous ont choyés aux petits oignons. Merci à MTL à table de nous avoir fait connaitre ce restaurant.
Lovely hotel in superb location. It's what you're looking for when seeking an Old Montreal experience. It's true that the bed is firm but we like that & the pillows were perfect. The sheets felt luxurious. It can get noisy on Saturday night & the towels could be better. Parking was a breeze next door & cost about 75$ for two nights. All in all, will be back!
The server was great. The speed of the food was very slow. Meal quality was great & they have an excellent wine selection. The duck & rabbit were both lovely. Again just a long wait between courses.

Delicious restaurant in the heart of old Montreal! They offer excellent wine selection & a great menu choice! They also offer a tasting menu so you get to experience the best dishes of the restaurant (6 service). We tried their special MTLaTable promotion which was a 4 course meal & it was great! It allowed us to discover this restaurant & we would come back again in the future to try out more dishes!
By far the best place I've ever eaten. It's been two years since my husband & I went for our anniversary & I since dream about this restaurant. The duck with maple syrup is amazing. The napoleon rivals that of any French restaurant. I will count down the days which I can come back. Please never change!
Had dinner with friends for our first try in this restaurant, tried the MTL à table menu($80 per person)plus a glass of wine. Here's my opinion for your reference: -Environment: it's ok, nothing too fancy or too bad, overall ambiance is good; -Food taste: in all four courses, only the Phyllo wrapped rabbit confit was delicious, the rest were not up to high-end restaurant standard at all. Ask anyone who studies cuisine or have been to good restaurants: this display(main course) is a disaster! & the taste...frankly I think some supermarket cooked food would taste better than this. Veal flank was too chewy, beef tastes bloody, & the chicken breasts were hard & dry as rock. -Service: they're attentive, appreciate their effort in pouring water or placing utensils for us, but it'd be safer if they tell us before handing the water over shoulders. -Hygiene: I did not like the fact that they're cutting bread in the hallway's counter, without any disinfectant or gloves, they just touch the bread like that after touching dishes & pos machine & god knows where... also I saw a waiter coughed in his sleeve & then continue cutting the bread like it's ok as long as his cough wasn't towards the bread... Overall I DO NOT recommend this restaurant, as their price does not match with their food quality & taste. Time to hire new chefs if this is your standard for $100+ meals.
