If you are looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place to go. I've been gong there for over 10 years now & never did they disappoint. I used to dine in before having a kid & service was impeccable. Now it's easier for the family to take out but still get great service & succulent delicious food every single time.
Thank you Jay & kitchen staff!!!!View more
We have been customers for many years & take out meals have generally been very good. Tonight, (week night ) we ordered for 6-7 people. It was for a family celebration. Butter chicken, rice & sides were all good but the chicken tikka was not edible. The pieces were not fresh, extremely dry, rubbery, & appeared to have been reheated. All 3 containers of chicken went into the garbage. It was a big part of the dinner. We were very disappointed tonight.View more
Bombay Choupati is a revelation! The food is exquisitely made by the hands of people who are actually invested in your food experience & care about quality. You can taste the difference! Our family even considers it one of the top Indian restaurants in all of Montreal.View more
We ate delicious food, amazing service. We are not from the neighborhood, but we will surely come back! Thanks Jay & to all your family.View more
Best Indian food in the west island. I love the spicy goat vindaloo, but my family prefers the butter chicken. You can specify the heat level for every dish. (I learned not to ask for max spicy for the vindaloo!). The family is friendly & welcoming.View more
Family owned, Jay ensures everything is just right. A jem.View more
The best Indian food we've had anywhere. Real homemade family cooking made to order from scratch. Friendly courteous staff with prompt service but you never feel "rushed". Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.View more
The best Indian restaurant in the West Island ! The host & the staff are super nice & hospitable & want to ensure you have the best time. Their Madrasi dishes are amazing & our favorite are the incredible crispy doses! I love the coconut chutney :) We've come here many times & look forward to trying everything on the menu. A perfect venue to come with family & enjoy authentic Indian food.View more
I've eaten a lot of butter chicken in my life & no restaurant has ever come close to beating my mothers. My mother had passed away many years ago & I never learned to cook butter chicken from her & had lost the taste for good, homemade, butter chicken. I went to Bombay Choupati for the first time with some family & I always stick to the basic order of butter chicken because I miss the taste of home. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined a place to have such savory, delicious & fragrant butter chicken. Just from the smell, you become hypnotized & the taste was just breathtaking, from the tender chicken to the creamy sauce, I could not find a single imperfection. For the first time in my life, I tasted a butter chicken similar .... scratch that, better than my mothers butter chicken. I haven't stopped going back ever since. A gentle reminder of home.
The staff were super friendly & great. Yes, its a small place & maybe a little cramped but once that food arrives ... I promise you, it is 100% worth the wait.
A colleague who lives near the restaurant brought us here for a dinner get together with friends at work. It was my first time to eat Indian food.
The service but a bit slow. If you're new to the place, patience is very much needed at this point because it's a family business & they do not have a lot of servers manning the floor. As soon as the food arrived, it's a different scenario.
I had tasted the butter chicken, Masala dosa & the naan bread. I also had the Tikka Chicken. They were all amazing!!! I love spicy food & this was really really good. I would recommend it to everybody as my friend had recommended it to us.
I would definitely be back for sure!! :)
Been going to this place for almost 10 years, more of a regular since we moved into the area. Their Dosas…mmmm their Dosas, enough said. Curry plate & Vindaloo plates are excellent so many different spices/tastes going on, love it. Sometimes they get swamped, have patience everything is made from scratch & the family is so lovely, place is clean too. The only place in the WI that is worth trekking into from the city.
